Amazing day at Telford Equine show jumping part 3. All our horses put their best hoof forward and we were just so blown away with them all! Penny and Bella had a wonderful day out, first show for the pair and they’re going to be a combination to watch!! 👀👀 Tanya and Skittles are a new pair, Tanya having her last season on ponies on the cutest little mare! Once they work each other out I recon Bella and Tanya are going to have quite the battle going on 🫣 Jamie’s last ride on chug before she flys out tomorrow morning 🇨🇦 & chug really made sure she’ll miss him, he was just trying his absolute hardest and he is just the best boy 🥰 Veronica started as her usual hot self but settled down to do some of her BEST work - once the penny drops that we are in fact not racing I think she is going to be pretty cool. Her pilot may have gone off course in the jump off, hopefully the one and only for the season…😎 thrilled with the horse! Wee video of Darci going today, he’s doing his best snail impression - super chilled out fella. Barefoot, may appreciate some shoes but coping fine. First few jumps under sadddle drama free. He is available at zero dollars to the right home!

Here’s Willie’s first test drive in our arena. He’s really doing his best impression of a warmblood 🤭 started a bit unsure but worked great by the end. A little unconventional over a pole but happy to get to the other side. Thumbs up from us 👍

Leigh went for a solo ride in the minus -3 this morning she didn’t mind at all! Was a little more forward than her usual self but still slow at that. Fine with the dogs 🐕 and did some adventuring around the farm yard past tractors/big trucks happily enough- a little snorty past the big machinery but nothing bad given the temperature & she is only 4 years old!

Trixie schooling the morning - we have some video of her going over poles & small jumps for interested parties. She has come very far & there is no reason she can not be a show jumping pony, she would just need further training in this area before she steps up to the higher heights. Currently schooling cross rails/50cm.

Darci’s second ride here. So far a bit unsteady in the contact but not at all strong, a little unbalanced and green (to be expected) and a little push along in the canter BUT appears to be incredibly trainable, level headed sort. Cool blank slate project for someone

Last raced Jan, barefoot, new place, ride one. What a great guy.

Trixie is a full height (unmeasured) rising 13yo pony mare. Breed is unknown we are told Morgan cross (stocky build.) Trixie is a kind mare who wants to please but she is a sensitive ride. She is not suitable for children, confident teens may enjoy her but we believe an adult is who she is best suited to. Trixie has her own engine, requires a rider with soft hands who has timing & feel. Can be a bit playful into the first canter transition of the ride, nothing dirty but needs a rider who will not be put off. She is NOT strong, has spent the last couple of months reschooling softness in a bitless bridle, works happily in a contact & both long and low. (Bit or with out). Trixie done pony club, a couple of hunts, cross country schooling & trekking. Although trixie is well rounded we think she is best suited to a low key/low level home. Trixie can jump and has done a couple of rounds of 70cm but is very hot, we believe she needs a complete restart in this area. (Currently trotting in and out of cross rails as seen in video.) She can be forward to hack although does walk & I do not believe she would enjoy big group treks as we were told very forward hunting. While trixie does have some downfalls she is really kind to handle on the ground, great with her feet. Not a spooky type with the cats/dogs. Great doer. Floats well. Not a nippy or grumpy type. We think she would thrive with someone who will keep her in constant work, ideal home is someone who wants to do natural horsemanship, working equitation, cowboy challenge - or just a rider who will take the time to get to know her & love her for who she is.
