Hello Every one
We at Pakiri Beach Horse rides are back at work...we are open for riding every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from tomorrow on.
Rides will depart at 10am , midday and 2pm on those 3 days only.
We will be open every day in the school holidays.
We will be following strict Covid 19 hygiene procedures and social distancing so please be respectful of this it is for you!!
Thank you those of you who are supporting us by riding or staying in our accommodation ...we so appreciate this especially as the past 6month have been very hard with the drought conditions and to be honest I am dreading winter as we will have no grass for feed and will be buying in extra feed on a zero income!!...if you have a favourite horse here he or she would be very grateful for a donation of a hay bale or two!!!!
What strange times these are...I have loved my 6 weeks in lock down...it has been like it was for me coming to Pakiri 50+ years ago. I have loved the slower pace..altho I never did do all the things I intended to do!!
Enjoy our new slightly freer life style and my best wishes to you all.

We are preparing to provide rides when we reach level 2 of lock down...we have put all our safety and hygiene measures in place and are set to go! We will only be operating weekends and Fridays over winter ...every day during holidays only.
Rides will be at 10am and 2pm daily. We are all looking forward to working again and riding with you.
Remember the beach is an all weather surface and always beautiful no matter what the weather is like. How lucky we are!

Hello Every body...week 1 of lock down is almost finshed...my garden looks a lot better!!! Im actually enjoying my solitude...splendid isolation just me and my dog and my cat both very easy house mates!
The horses are remarkably well considering we are still in very dry drought conditions. They come up every day thinking they should be working...they really don't understand lock down!!
My best wishes to all my friends and fellow riders stay safe stay well and look after you!!!

The horses need a leg wash said the Guides.... as I went off looking for a bucket and sponge.... this is where I finally located them all! Still, it is probably the first Guide foot wash for a time so not a bad idea really (only joking... I think....!) A typical day at Pakiri Beach Horse Rides :)

STUNNING PONY FOR SALE. 13.1hh Welsh type pony mare, approx 8 to 9 years old. Ideal for an experienced competitive home, Lives out all year round, easy to catch, handle (regularly used to teach beginner children how to groom, pick out feet, plait etc), trim, clip, rug etc. She is too forward going to be an off lead trekking pony but has given many a lead rein lesson to inexperienced children. The lighter Guides regularly ride her and she will go first or last or happily by herself. She loves exploring along the beach and through the dunes and will go wherever you point her! Though she is a poppet to handle, she is NOT suitable for an inexperienced home or novice riders. She needs a confident and capable rider and she would love to compete or be a mounted games or an endurance pony. If mum is lightweight she would make a great family pony as well! She is open to any vet, is currently worked bare foot, was de-wormed on 13th August and is fit, sound and ready to go. For sale to a great home with offers around $5,250.
