With covid causing problems for travellers, our valuable woofers are few and far between. So, we're on the look out for longer term helpers. One or two. 4-6 months, working, living, immersing themselves in the wonderful coastal property here at Pataua.
Requirements are enthusiasm, good humour, and ability to work quietly at set tasks.
Great food and accommodation available, with lots of learning to be had.

We have a small team here, and for the next few days, we will be attacking the ragwort around the area. Its in flower now and easy to spot. If we keep the surrounding areas free, then it wont spread to mine and my neighbours properties.

Ideal training ground for young enthusiastic person, or more mature person wanting something a little different.
Food and accommodation provided in exchange for work.
Includes some farm duties, care of horses, riding, cleaning, fitness, training, and anything relevant to what ever project we're working on.
Time out to go to beach, enjoy the locality, have afternoon naps, and enjoy good food and company.
Preparing horses and gear for competition and medieaval displays.
I usually host wwoofers, but would like a longer term person or two to make a good team.

Beautiful rain for the feilds and gardens. Excess vegetables and raw goat and cow milk is shared with neighbours and friends. Stable manure is wheelbarrowed to the friut trees and replenishing gardens. The worms are all very happy at the moment. :-)

All the ewes and the ram are shorn. The lambs are looking for new homes.

Well we all had a pretty nice winter here in the North. We were fortuneate enough to get some horses out to winter competitions. With summer here now, the horses are all in work, ready to do more events, competitions, displays and take people for special rides.
The cows have all got beautiful calves.
The hereford bulls are now in with the herd, and shifting cattle is done with the horses.
Buttercup happily shares her milk with us and her fat calf, and our wwoofers (Willing Workers On Organic Farms) enjoy all the lovely foods we create with her creamy milk.
We are open to visitors by appointment, and have room for self contained camper vans.
