🚨 Immediate Steps to Take for Dog and Cat Bites 🐶🐱

🧼 Wash the wound gently with soap and water. This will help clean the area and remove any bacteria that may lead to infection.

💧 Apply an antiseptic solution, such as hydrogen peroxide or povidone iodine, to the wound to further disinfect it.

🩹 Cover the wound with a clean bandage or gauze to protect it from further bacteria and dirt.

⚠️ Monitor the wound for signs of infection, such as redness, swelling, or pus. If you notice any of these symptoms, seek medical attention promptly.

💉 Seek medical help for deep bites from unfamiliar or wild animals, or if it's been over 5 years since your last tetanus shot. Post exposure shots against rabies
may also be needed.
