Canine Distemper Virus' Aftermath.
In late stages, Canine Distemper Virus damages the patient's Central Nervous System which triggers the neurological signs of the virus which are:
- Tremors
- Twitching
- βChewing Gum Fitsβ
- Seizures
- Imbalance
- Limb Weakness
Here's our patient Jonas, he is a 1 year and 3 months old Belgian Malinois who already tested negative to Canine Distemper Virus (photo posted on the comment section). Although his CDV antigen levels are already 5 IU to none, it is difficult for Jonas to walk properly due to the manifestation of CDV's later stages. Although it can be difficult at first, this can be corrected through proper management and physical therapy. We will continue to give the good fight Jonas! ππ
Other than treating Distemper positive patients, it is also our mission to educate the community with Canine Distemper Virus and to be an advocate in this profession about its misconceptions. With this, we will have our promo posted soon for a #CDVFree community! π¨π»ββοΈπ©π»ββ
