Attention, mangrove crab farmers! 🦀

There will be cheaper and locally produced immunostimulant enriched feeds for mangrove crab. There is currently no enriched feeds for mangrove crab in the market; what we use are usually imported from other countries.

This will be through a DOST-PCAARRD funded and monitored project, “A rapid cost-effective method to screen potential sources of immunostimulants and growth promoting feed additives for Scylla serrata using a functional genomics approach” being implemented by the De La Salle University (DLSU). The project is developing cheaper, locally produced immunostimulants for mangrove crab.
