EDL Group of Companies is a conglomerate of corporations engaged in marketing/distribution, veterinary products manufacturing, animal breeding, and organic food production. Dr. Eulalio D. Lorenzo, the founder of EDL Group of Companies remains humble to this day despite his success for building a conglomerate that helps elevate the standards of Philippine agriculture. His company, East
Asia Laboratories, Inc. is the first-Filipino-owned manufacturing that ventured into animal vaccine production. Dr. Lorenzo started his first business venture, East Asia Veterinary Products, Inc., in 1993 - the company that provides animal nutrition and veterinary products to commercial farms and corporate clientele. The following year, he established Excellence Poultry & Livestock Specialist, Inc. that markets and sells animal healthcare & conditioning products to poultry supply outlets/agrivet stores nationwide. In July 2014, EDL Group of Companies held its first 2-day EDL Sports Fest at Balai Isabel, Talisay, Batangas. Last January 2015. Excellence held its 20th year with a grand gala celebration graced by distinguished clients, associates, friends, families and employees at the Solaire hotel. Business expansion
As Doc Ayong started to develop other products intended for poultry, swine, cattle, dogs, he established East Asia Laboratories, Inc., which became the manufacturing arm of the company developing local medicines, supplements and vaccines for animals. Soon after, he put up other companies like Animal Genetics Improvement and Agri-Resources, EDL Exemplar Builders and Development Corporation, EDL Printing and El Dia Enterprise. Pitgames Media, Inc. became EDL's affiliate. In 2014, New Generation Animal Health Products, Inc. officially opened, which is the new distribution company for products previously distributed by East Asia Veterinary Products, Inc. Towards the latter part of 2014, Dr. Lorenzo ventured into beauty and wellness company named Mc Dell Healthcare Products, Inc.. Alongside, farm resort and events place development complimenting the family’s farm-to-table restaurant are being completed in San Mateo, Rizal and Capas, Tarlac. Civic duty
Doc Ayong is also actively involved in civic activities. He is the past president of Rotary Club of Midtown Cubao. His pet project is the annual anti-rabies campaign in Quezon City. He is also a member of the Free & Accepted Masons of the Philippines and the General Response and Emergency Assistance Team. As an eminent officer of the Freemasons, he has provided 100 wheelchairs annually to indigent patients all over the Philippines. In 2009, he was recognized as Outstanding Veterinarian by the Philippine Veterinary Medical Association. Recently, he received the Paul Harris Vocational Excellence Awards as part of the annual search of The Rotary Golden Wheel Awards. This year 2015, Dr. Lorenzo was awarded by UBM Asia & the Department of Agriculture for East Asia Laboratories' compliance to GMP international standards.
