LET'S DO THE MATH
Conservative Computation:
10kg per fruit (in reality it can yield up to 30-40 kg.)
20 fruits per tree per year (it can even produce up to 100 or more during maturity)
50.00 pesos per kilo current farm gate price of ripe EVIARC Sweet Jackfruit (Farm Gate Price in Leyte)
156 trees in 1 hectare at 8 x 8 meters recommended spacing (can be planted @ closer spacing)
20 fruits x 10kg = 200 kg. per tree
200kg x 50.00 pesos (Farm-gate price) = 10,000 pesos per tree
10,000 pesos x 156 trees/ha. = 1.56 million pesos per hectare
This is very conservative computation. When the tree reaches the maturity & full fruiting it can be doubled, 3x, 4x or even more depending on the management.
