CONTAGIOUS ECTHYMA
CONTGIOUS ECTHYMA ( منہ سڑی) :
🐾 Contagious ecthyma is a highly contagious, zoonotic, viral skin disease that affects sheep, goats and some other domesticated animals.
🐾 It is an infectious dermatitis of sheep and goats that affects primarily the lips of young animals .
CLINICAL SIGNS :
Lesions of contagious ecthyma are characterized by vesicles or pustules that rapidly progress to proliferative, coalescing, scab-like crusts of the face, especially at the mucocutaneous junctions of the mouth and nose and, less frequently, the eyelids.
Other symptoms include,
🐾 FEVER
🐾 Anorexia
🐾 dullness
TREATMENT :
No specific treatment but supportive therapy
Antiseptics
Borric acid washing
NSAIDs
Antibiotics (panbiotics)
Multivitamins
Autogenous vaccine
( formalin + antibiotic +distilled water) rub this solution on hind limb for consecutive 3 days..
Use glycerine, pyodine , KMnO4 solution for mouth wash.
Herbal recommendation :
Use Neem tree leaves (نیم کے پتے) and boil them then wash mouth with that water.
Autohemotherapy
( Take blood from the patient and inject intramusculaarly )
