Pangasious fish
White spot disease
The O comes with complaint of mortality of these pangasious due to some white spots.
Upon examination and after running variety of tests some parameters turned out toxic for fish
Water quality is the most important parameter.
The nitrite and Ammonia should always be zero. Other parameters include
pH 7.5-8.5
Temperature 25-27°C
Nitrate less than 10ppm
Nitrite and Ammonia 0
Stocking density is important
Filteration system and biomedia is way to happy farming.
Differentials include:
Brown blood disease(Nitrite toxicity)
Seprolegniosis (white mould)
Columnaris
Mycobacterium marinum
Rx protocol includes optimizing the water quality to get nitrite zero either by salt bathing or water changing every 8h about 25-30%
Once the water is ok then we will proceed towards fungal infections and Rx respectively.

Rickets
Rickets is a rare disease of young, growing animals that causes soft and deformed bones. It is commonly caused by insufficient phosphorus or vitamin D in the diet. More rarely, calcium deficiency is to blame. An excess of calcium has caused rickets-like signs in some dogs.
As per the history of my client, the dog diet was purely based on milk so thats an indication of ca metabolism defect.
Rickets in pets are mostly misdiagnosed by owners as congenital or accidental injury.
Providing your pets a good soft bedding,
Calcium phosphorus supplements as recommended by ur vet and a proper exposure to Sunlight is necessary to reverse its effects.
Moreover, the consistency by the owner in the course of Rx is important. Since it takes time.

This peacock was presented with the history of Inappetence and lethargic from 3 days.
On examination the dropping were loose since the feathers were soiled on examination. The patient was weak. Their was plenty of fleas and lice infestation.
Ddx includes
•Salmonellosis
•Coccidiosis
•Dietary intolerance
•Stress induced Inappetence
•FAD
•Intestinal parasitism
The owner was advised to isolate the patient. Spray the patient and surroundings with phenylpyrazole insecticide in a high dilution prescribed at a course of 10 days interval. Client education in regard of breaking the cycle of infection is important. So disinfection of the cages and surroundings is also important.
Oral antibiotics, immune booster and liver tonics are recommended along with the parasiticide course.
