This beautiful cat was in a terrible matted condition , as the matted fur came off the fleas jumped out. The poor cat must have been in agony. I was honoured to help this cat and even more honoured to work with 2 maos 4 patas . The very best outcome is that this gorgeous Persian cat gets the wonderful home he deserves.

Max is a very adorable full of energy mini schnauzer. But, I fidnt need to tell you that as you worked it out from his haircut ?
Max has been coming to me for his groom since his owner/mum could hold him in her hands. Now he is truly looking good and wearing that Schnauzer beard magnificently.

Why does a dog groom sometimes cost more than your own haircut ??

Your hairdresser doesn’t wash and clean around your butt.
You probably don’t go 8 weeks without washing or brushing your hair
Your hairdresser doesn’t have to remove your eye boogers.
Most likely, you sit still for your hairdresser.
Your haircut doesn’t include a free pedicure and manicure.
You probably didn’t roll in mud or step bairfooted into poo in the last few weeks.
You probably don’t bite or scratch your hairdresser.
Your hairdresser probably doesn’t clean out your eyes for you.
It’s unlikely that your hairdresser trims hair anywhere on your body except your head. (ugh, let’s hope not!)
The likelihood of you pooping or peeing on your hairdresser is VERY slim 🙂

I thought it would be helpful to update the grooming services I offer :

The Full Groom

This treatment includes: A shampoo, dry and complete brush out. Haircut and styled as requested (clipped or trimmed.) Nail trim, eye and ear cleansing, finished with a spritz of long lasting pawfume.

The Mini Groom

Great for in-between full grooms, this treatment includes: A tailored double shampoo, dry and complete brush out. Face and hygiene trim. Nail trim, eye and ear cleansing, finished with a spritz of long lasting pawfume.

The Puppy Groom

The perfect introduction for puppies to the grooming experience. This treatment includes: A gentle shampoo, gentle dry and complete brush out. Face and hygiene trim, nail trim, eye and ear cleansing, finished with a spritz of long lasting pawfume.

The De-shed Package

Great for dogs who regularly shed or have lots of undercoat. This treatment includes: A double de-shed shampoo treatment, the coat dried with a high velocity drier to remove undercoat, complete brush out using a variety of de-shedding tools to drastically reduce shedding, nail trim, eye and ear cleansing, finished with a spritz of long lasting pawfume.

The Hand-Stripping Package

Perfect for dogs with a wiry coat such as the Border Terrier. Last week I had the pleasure of giving 2 puppies their first ever groom.

Once the puppy is settled with new owners and is approximately 12-weeks of age It is time to introduce yourself and your new puppy to the glorious world of dog grooming. At the first appointment your puppy is introduced to a bath, blow drying, nail clipping, and a slight trim .

A puppy would not be given a full hair cut the first time being groomed. This is too much to ask of a puppy. So, just the basics during the first groom. A bath , slow dry , nail trim , trim the fur from around eyes, pads, and around the sanitary area. This is about all they can handle. The puppy will be introduced to having scissors around the face, having to hold still while the pads on their feet are trimmed.

Depending on how the puppy reacts to the first groom, it is better to do this type of groom again. The more comfortable the puppy becomes with being handled by the groomer and being on a table, and in the bath the better the puppy will become as they grow up, and the happier they will be to re visit the Groomer !
