Porttikoski is our Kennel for sleddogs. We have about 27 Alaskan Huskies, and participate in races in Norway (Femundsløpet and Finnmarksløpet).

liebe Schlittenhundefreunde,

wir freuen uns Euch mitteilen zu können, dass Bernhard Schuchert am 25.08.2023 um 20:00 Uhr einen Online Vortrag über das Training von Schlittenhunden im Mittel- und Longdistanz Bereich hält.

Bernhard ist ein Musher mit langjähriger Erfahrung im Bereich Zucht und Training von Schlittenhunden. Er startete bereits erfolgreich an den großen Rennen wie dem Finnmarkslopet, Iditarod und dem Yukon Quest.

Die Kosten für DSLT-Mitglieder werden vom Verein übernommen.
Für Interessierte, die nicht im DSLT sind wird ein Beitrag von 25,-€ fällig.
Eine Anmeldung muss bis zum 22.08.23 per Email an [email protected] erfolgen.

Kirkenes. 720 of 1209km done.

They should use lower Stop signs up here 😉 We are in Jergul now, waiting for Bernhard and the team. They took another rest on the trail between Kautokeino and Jergul.

Yoda, Paul, Vordiss, Urmel, Frida, Sölvi, Lucca, Snowflake, Guffen, Efi, Odinn, Leia, Lind, Furu and Bernhard just left Alta. They will rest on the 131km long trail to Kautokeino. We expect them to arrive between 9-10 in the morning. Thanks for all the good wishes and happy trail 😊

The team arriving in Kirkenes 2 days ago. Our rookie dogs (the young dogs that run the race for their first time) Arya and Urmel were tired and had to be taken out of the team. Sometimes it takes the young ones 1-2 races to learn saving their energy until the end :) Frida stept into a hole on the trail and hurt her carpal joint. Nothing serious, all of them enjoy good care and cuddling now. And our senior Lilly shows how its done. She is still in! 💪 😊
