LUCA is still looking for his forever home. He’s been out and about exploring the neighborhood today and we’re told he’s great in the car, walks nicely on his easy walk harness and was so happy to meet everyone he came across. This 5 month old, male, lab mix is fun for sure!

Luca is a 5-month-old black Lab mix who is looking for his forever home. He's pure puppy - active, playful, and looking to keep busy. He does settle nicely in his crate and has been very clean indoors (no potty accidents here so far!). He loves other dogs, is cat friendly, and has lived successfully with both when he was in his foster home. He would be OK in a home with older children.

He's up-to-date on vaccinations, neutered, microchipped, and has been dewormed.

UPDATE AS OF JUNE 26: River has been adopted!

River is a 9-10 month old Yellow Lab (possibly mixed with a little something). She's social & outgoing, affectionate, and playful. She's active and likes to have things to do, but settles nicely and can just hang, too. River is dog and cat friendly.

She is up to date on vaccinations, spayed, has been dewormed, is heartworm negative, on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, and is microchipped.

UPDATE: adopted!
Wally is a 4-5 year old male cattle dog mix. He is friendly, laid back, has gotten along well with the other dogs he has met, and even knows some basic obedience and a couple of tricks!

He is up to date on vaccinations, has been neutered & dewormed, is heart worm negative, on flea/tick & heart worm prevention, and is microchipped.

Hans and his sister Heidi are 3-year-old Great Pyrenees. It is our hope that they will be adopted together, as they are quite attached to one another.

They are truly gentle giants and spend their days lounging around the office or patrolling in the yard (when Hans isn't rolling in some patch of grass or other). They both solicit attention in typical Pyr fashion; Hans with a gentle paw pat, and Heidi with a nose nudge.

Both dogs are altered, up-to-date on vaccinations, are heartworm negative, on flea/tick/heartworm prevention, have been dewormed, and appear to be housebroken. They arrived a bit underweight and we are working on bulking them back up; we expect Heidi will be approx. 90 pounds and Hans maybe 105-110.

Hans & Heidi came to us with a long history of roaming from their home. For this reason, we will require that adopters have a yard with a secure, 6 foot high fence.

Lindy is an 8-month-old wire-haired mix. She's energetic, playful, and smart as a whip! She enjoys playtime with other dogs; she can be pushy when she knows she can get away with it but is very respectful with dogs who set boundaries for her.

She is up to date on vaccinations, spayed, heartworm negative, on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, has been dewormed, and is microchipped.

Ona adopted!

Cali is a 4-year-old long-haired shepherd mix. She's a very sweet, sensitive girl who just loves to be snuggled up close and doted on. She lived in a home until her owner became too ill to care for her and surrendered her to the shelter. She is crate-trained and we are told she is housebroken. She has done nicely with the other dogs we have introduced her to.

Cali is up-to-date on vaccinations, spayed, has been dewormed, and is on flea/tick/heartworm prevention. She is heartworm positive and has started treatment; the cost of treatment is included in her adoption.

Meet Buddy! He is a 7-year-old Beagle mix. Seized from his owner who was arrested and charged with animal abuse, Buddy then spent months in a southern shelter waiting for the courts to allow his adoption before being transferred to us. He did arrive with some handling issues - not surprising given his background - so we're looking for an understanding and patient household to help him live his best life! Despite his history, he's social, fun and adventurous, settles beautifully indoors, is crate-trained, housebroken, gets along with the other dogs we've had him with, walks nicely on leash... what more could you ask for!

Giada is a 2-year-old mixed-breed dog, possibly some kind of Aussie mix. She's friendly, affectionate, funny and loves to snuggle. She does well with other respectful dogs and enjoys running and playing in the snow.

Giada is up to date on vaccinations, in on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, has been dewormed, and is microchipped. She has started treatment for heartworm and will be spayed once treatment is completed.

Ona is a 2-year-old Great Pyrenees mix. She's working on bulking up at little bit and will probably top out at 95-100 pounds. She's sweet and social, has done well with the dogs in her playgroup, and is remarkably gentle for a dog of her size. True to her breed, she does seem to have a tendency to patrol and roam so a home with a securely fenced yard is preferred.

Ona is up to date on vaccinations, heartworm negative, has been dewormed, and is on flea/tick and heartworm prevention. She will be spayed as part of her adoption.

Zeplin is a 2-3-year-old lab mix. He's very sweet and tries his very hardest to be the bravest of boys; he wags from nose to tail but sometimes has to work up the confidence to come over for the attention you can tell he wants. He's been great in playgroup and loves to run around the yard. He even knows how to use the agility tunnel and table, so might make a fun agility partner (it would certainly be a great confidence builder for him).

He is up to date on vaccinations, neutered, heartworm negative, on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, and has been dewormed.
