Happy adoption day, Lady! 🥰

Lady joined us back in June all the way from Texas. She was found with 18 other dogs roaming the streets. Thanks to our awesome team, we were able to save Lady and get her into a foster home so she could recover while undergoing heartworm treatments.

This sweet gal has a very mild personality but she loves her people. Thanks to her amazing foster, we were able to give Lady the TLC she deserved!

Lady is now Lanie and she’s enjoying the city life! We can’t wait to see how much you flourish in your new home, Lanie ☺️❤️

Instead of focusing on a “how to get adopted” King has been focusing on “how to flirt with the ladies” apparently the first step is eye contact and a wink! 😉

Our little traveler admits that this is the tactic that got him all the way from the streets of Florida to a loving foster home at Last Stop Rescue! Since he’s currently unemployed, winning over the ladies was the only way. Look at him now.

When we took on Bebop, we for sure thought she would go quickly!
8 months later and this beautiful girl is still waiting for a family to call her own. She’s watched a lot of her friends move on to forever homes, and although she’s happy for them, her heart aches that she hasn’t found it yet😞💔 She already lost one owner she ever knew. She just wants to find some more to love!

This incredibly smart and trainable girl is so full of love and loyalty. She’s attached to her favorite volunteers and adores playing with other dogs—she is always down to party! She’s a playful spirit who loves to talk and share her joy.

But Bebop’s heart is aching for a forever home. She’s been waiting patiently, and it’s time she finds the family she so deeply deserves. Help Bebop finally get her chance! This is her Last Stop before forever! 🩷

Meet adoptable Tyrone, our own personal spider monkey! This adventurous boy has no fear. He is an adventurer, that’s for sure. He will go anywhere and do anything with confidence. Tyrone frequently finds himself in the most peculiar situations… like getting stuck crawling up the side of his crate, or not knowing how to jump down off patio furniture, but when he isn’t participating in his hourly obstacle course activities, he loves to cuddle. He absolutely adores being held and giving little puppy kisses… and how could you ignore that little face?! If you’re looking for an adventure buddy, a good laugh, and the best puppy cuddles all in one, Tyrone is definitely your little dude! National Dog Day! Every rescuee and rescuers favorite day of the year🥹🤍 What would we do without these sweet babies?!
This national dog day we want to highlight our precious long timers: Finn, Charlay, and Jaxson.
Finn 🐾 came as a stray who a lot of people worked to catch to bring him to safety. Instead of being brought to safety after being captured he found himself about to be put down. Luckily, we were able to save him🩵 & now we want to see him off to his forever home! Finn is basically a cat in a husky body😂

Charlay 🐾 A true gem🩷 Char came from an owner give up situation. They got caught for having a restricted breed in their apartment after 9 months. Her outside time was very limited when she was growing up so we have worked very hard to socialize her and allow her to see the world. She loves just anything and everything, especially listening to “Tennessee Orange” in the jeep😂

Jaxson 🐾 Our personal polar bear! 🩵 Jaxson began his rescue journey when he got given up by an older man in the south. He then got brought up to Illinois and found himself at risk of euthanasia AGAIN. Jaxson has not had it easy and needs a slower introduction to men but makes progress every single day. We are very proud of Jaxson and all the steps he has made from his touch background. He has grown close to male volunteers and even new male house guests that the foster may have!

We are so so thankful to be the bridge to these pups finding some people to call their own. We will be their people for as long as we have to be, but we hope it’s not much longer!

Another day, another successful LSR adoption!
Our very own Pudge finally found his forever place to land and call home 🤍 Pudge came to us with his sister as a stray from an animal control. Him and his sister were both very scared and untrusting of people when they came to us. Their foster was able to help them through a lot of fears and get them to trust people more easily to land them in their forever homes. It took a lot of patience, but the right people took the appropriate steps to allow Pudge to trust them before bringing him into their home and he is now living very happily with them with continued support from LSR!
We are so happy to see this, not too long after his sister found her forever home!

Turned around a rainy weekend by hosting a PACK WALK!!
It was so fun to see our adoptable dogs and some alumni’s yesterday for a pack walk! This is a great way to keep our dogs socialized & having a good time. They get exposure to other dogs, people, & even some TLC from mini humans! We appreciate all of our fosters, volunteers, and past adopters that make this possible and so fun🩷

Adoptable Harvey is the awkward kid in school smiling for his school photo 😂 That’s one way to show some teeth buddy!

For those that don’t remember, Harvey was posted because he was in need of an urgent foster at our local animal hospital and we were able to push his euthanasia date a little back to buy some more time, thank goodness for the team that made this happen because Harvey is not just ALIVE, he’s LIVIN!

Harvey is settling into his foster home nicely and just about ready to find a place to call forever! He is:
- good with others dogs and cats🐶🐱
- kid- approved🥰
- good with all people👯‍♀️
- crate and potty trained
- great in public settings! He loved the outdoor concert 🎶

Harvey can use a little more work on his leash, and his smile apparently.😂 He is working on both day by day! and making strides in his foster home🫶🏼 the smile may just be it, but we think it adds ~personality~

And another happy ending for one of our LSR pups!
Chase finally landed himself his forever home full of love and now, his shedding🤣
This dude had a standoff approach when it came to men, as he is quite frightened by them, but he had no problem loving up on his new dad! From the first meet and greet, it was love at first sight. ❤
LSR was grateful to be a part of your journey you silly boy! We will always be your second home, but go enjoy your family now!

She’s big, she’s mighty, she’s scary, she’s… a monster?!
Actually, she’s everything but that😂 She’s actually small at 32 pounds, the least scary gal you would ever meet, she was just named by a 3 year old😂🩷
A warm welcome to our newest LSR addition, Monster! This girl is the cutest, sweetest, love bug you will ever meet who NEVER runs out of tail wags!
Monster came from an abuse situation, but she definitely doesn’t let that show. She is a pittie mix who’s got butt shakes for days!
Monster would do best in any home, she is just so easy! But because of her demeanor, she would especially appreciate a home with little kids or another dog. She just has sooo much love to give! She really is a small girl with a huge heart! She’s currently fostered with two small children and a senior dog and does fantastic!
Don’t let her kindness fool you though, this gal can be sassy when she wants💁🏼‍♀️ She’s not afraid to let anyone hear her (wimpy) bark😂
Monster is crate and mostly potty trained. She has an occasional accident but she is a quick learner!
Some of her favorite activities include ; playing with her human foster kiddos, and getting the zoomies. That’s when you’ll really get a glimpse of her “small but mighty” damage😂

Monday feelz😴🥱
Anyone else want to join adoptable Suny and curl up in a ball and never leave the house this morning? 🙋‍♀️
Suny said, don't worry, I gotchu! I'm good at calling off work and making excuses (all jokes, kinda).
Suny is still looking for his forever home, he's been hearing about all the adoptions going around and quite frankly, he is kind of offended! He says he is the PERFECT size and although he's not the biggest dog around town, he sure has the biggest heart! Suny muffin is the definition of your soft hearted dude.
Suny gets along well with other dogs and LOVES his humans! He also does great with cats and even a bunny! I mean come on, it doesn't get much better than that.
He hasn't had great luck finding a place to call home. He is far from your average pup. So hopefully you can share this and maybe lead him to his forever home!

As you're getting ready for a new week, all cozied up scrolling through your feed, stop for a good story... you're gonna wanna hear this!
That's right, an ADOPTION! And not just any adoption, its of our long-term girl, MILLIE!
Millie officially, after 8 months with LSR, found a family to snuggle and cuddle with all day long! This girl has come a long way since stepping off a Georgia transport last year. We are so proud of her progress!
Millie will be living luxuriously in her new home with her parents who have already put so much time and effort in her training! She will spend a lot of days Netflix and chilling, watching her mom work in the home office, get to play ball and frisbee with dad, and go on fun social events, after all this girl loves her cocktail hours🥰🥰🤣
Millie, the LSR team has grown such a strong bond to you, we are all so happy to share your story and see you progress. This will always be your second home, but go live your life with your FAMILY! Some dogs take longer than others, but this, this is why.. Millie was waiting for her people. 🤩

Wow, did our pups have an eventful weekend or what?! We had three events this weekend and a lot of our dogs were able to go and enjoy the loving with all the people! 🩷 We had an adoption show at Two Bostons and then headed to Bartlett for the fest!
We love seeing these smiling faces! We are lucky to have great volunteers that makes this possible!

🐶Our poor pup Stratus was hit by a car last Saturday and we are so THANKFUL he will be ok. He has a fractured pelvic floor bone and dislocation. He is now recovering at home and his recovery will be about a month or more. 🐾Last night he was able to eat for the first time since the accident and he finally came out of his crate for a little while. Shes a runner, shes a track star... Just kidding, its just TESS! Tess is still waiting for her forever home, and none of the volunteers know why. This girl is about to be 1 years old and such a well mannered and trained pup! Tess gets along great with other dogs, we have yet to meet a dog who she doesn't love.
