I'm Michele Bock, wife of Dan and mother of Josh and Brandon. We currently also have four fur babies, three feline and one canine. Animals have been part of my life for as long as I can remember. One of my first childhood memories is of our dog Shadow and I making mud pies. My mom always said that he was her "baby stuck in a pair of furry jammies" and me being only 5 at the time, completely believ

ed her...and so started my need to include fur babies as part of my family. My mom passed away in May 2015 but about two and half years before that she had to have one of her greatest loves, Maggie, put down. We were talking on the phone one day a couple weeks later, she was crying and I suggested that she get another dog to help heal her heart. She told me that she just didn't know if she was ready and she believed that when the time was right, there would be a sign. I was scrolling through Facebook at the time and at that exact moment came across a post from a friend that their family needed to re-home their 3-year old Pomeranian because he wasn't good with their 2-year old daughter. I told Mom that I thought we just got her sign and sent her a picture of him. She wasn't sure so I told her to think on it a little bit and let me know but given he was purebred, up to date on shots, micro-chipped, free, and cuter than any dog I've ever seen, I didn't anticipate that he'd be available for long. She called me 2-3 hours later and said that she wanted him. I sent my friend a message and amazingly, not one single person had said they wanted him! TOTALLY meant to be! It was not an easy road earning Buddy's trust and my mom almost gave up many times but it just wasn't in her nature to give in. All animals loved her so Buddy was a challenge! Finally, they formed a bond and it was a very strong bond. At that point my mom made me promise that if anything ever happened to her that I would adopt Buddy. I agreed thinking there was no way that Buddy would outlive her - she was only 61 at the time. We had four cats at the time (already one more than we're supposed to have *;) winking) and didn't want a dog tying us to home but, again, I didn't think it was a promise I'd ever have to fulfill. On May 6, 2015, Buddy came to live with us. Buddy adjusted very well and after a few days I realized that my mom must have told Buddy that he needed to take care of me if anything happened to her just as she had told me I needed to take care of him. The only struggle we had was eating. He ate commercial dry dog food with his first family, commercial canned food with my mom, but wouldn't eat anything but people food with us. We tried the food he ate living with my mom (cheap canned food), expensive dry food, expensive canned food, all to no avail - he'd eat them for a day or two and then completely turn his nose to them. I was so frustrated! I wanted to be understanding of the fact that he was most likely going through some depression but I had made a promise to my mom that I would take care of him so I couldn't let him starve to death. Finally, I happened across a dog food recipe online one night and thought, "what the heck - can't be any worse than what we're going through now". I made the recipe the next day and amazingly, Buddy liked it! I made a few more here and there (one of those recipes lasts for a LONG time when you've got a little tummy!) and he's done very well with them. I was so relieved!! Not only was he eating, but he's now gained back all the weight he had lost during our "difficult" time. When he was in for his last vet visit (his first visit since coming to live with us), the vet actually thought he was 3 years younger than he actually is!! I woke up in the middle of the night one night and thought, "I love cooking for Buddy, and would like for other puppies to reap the same health benefits of a natural diet - I should do this for others who don't have time to cook for their fur babies!" But not all pets like the same types of food so I wanted to give you, who knows your pet better than anyone, the opportunity to choose the ingredients your pet loves. And that is how Pawsitively Deelightful came to be! I hope you like our product(s) and share our story and your experiences with your friends if you do!
