Pennsylvania hunters: Sunday hunting is a hot topic in our state Capitol this week!

There are two active bills to remove the prohibition of hunting on Sundays:

The Game Commission supports removing the prohibition on Sunday hunting, which would allow Pennsylvania to join 39 others states that have no statutory restrictions on hunting on Sundays.

Game Commission Executive Director Bryan Burhans shared his support for expanded Sunday hunting opportunities at the House Game and Fisheries Committee meeting on Tuesday, April 9. “Removing the statutory barrier is within the best long-term interests of the sportsmen and sportswomen of the Commonwealth, and the scientific management of wildlife,” Burhans said.

On Saturday, April 20th at 9AM, we'll be having our annual spring swap meet.

Although most of our items are shooting, hunting and fishing related, we have had people sell items like golf clubs, photos, books and sports memorabilia.

Join us this Sunday for our March 3D shoot. 30 targets, 8am - 2pm, $15 per shooter, youth shoots free. Kitchen will be open, and all archery equipment is welcome on the course.

Join GPLRC for our back-to-back Specialties, hosted in conjunction with the Memorial Day Cluster at the Lawrence County Fairgrounds May 23-27, 2024! The cluster have a great panel, and we will be judged by Labrador breeder judge Terry DePietro on Saturday, and Sharol Candace-Way on Sunday. We also have Sweeps both days. Hand painted trophies both days of the Specialty. Supported entry Thursday, Friday, and Monday with great prizes as well! The fairground offers RV camping and lots of other dog activities including Dock Diving, lure coursing, and Disc.
While we know everyone loved the stand-alone Specialty show at Coopers Lake, the logistics were no longer feasible. We hope you'll support our club and the Cluster by coming to join us over Memorial Day.
