Just wanted to say a BIG THANK YOU to all of our Café Pet Spa clients for another great year. We are officially booked for the rest of the school year. We will be open for haircut dogs the following Mondays and Tuesdays this summer so call to get an Appointment.

We have been busy learning about nutrition. So we have been making home made dog treats and creating nutrition labels. If you would like to purchase some for your dog stop in during school hours and you can make your selections. $3 a container. Lilly (dog) tested and approved.

Thank you to everyon who attended our Open House last evening! We were so happy to meet so many new people. For those of you who wanted to see the end result of the little dog that was being groomed I have attaches a couple before and after pictures. Life changing for Lucy. I am so proud of these students!!!

Just the moment "Willie" has been waiting for!!!!

We are OPEN for the 2023-24 school year!!!

Students have some practice under their belts and are ready to officially open for the year!!! Remember our experienced students from last Spring have graduated and are no longer with us. Our new groomers show lots of promise and are eager for your dog to practice on.

The best way to schedule an appointment is to call 269-512-7820, that way they can practice their customer service skills as well. We are open from 8 until about 2. Thanks to your support and generousity we were able to donate over $7,000 each to Paws with a Cause and Wishbone Pet Rescue Alliance, and $1000 to Ronald McDonald House.

It is almost time for out opening announcement, but just wanted to share our morning's journey with you. Our new Work Based Learning Student, Jordyn TeHennepe was selected to be the Student of the Week at Hopkins for next weeks Football Frenzy, after hearing about her passion for grooming and raising Paws With A Cause foster puppies, they decided to do her spotlight feature at the Tech Center.

Jordyn we loved to watch you shine this morning, and are so proud of your accomplishments in the classroom and your passion for PAWS!!!

We are just about finished with our Summer Grooming program. Next week will be our last week, that being said we still have openings for “haircuts” on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. We are offering $10 off and any tips will go towards the girls grooming program.. If you’d like to set something up send me a Msg on here :) Thanks so much!

ISO: poodle/ doodle type breeds with minimal matting willing to let students learn and practice different haircuts. Also in search of any other haircut type dogs 🙂 At this time we do not need bath and brush pups but will be open to them again come September. Thanks so much for helping support these students and their grooming careers.

To each and every visitor to CaFe Pet Spa we want to say Thank You!!!

Your generosity helped our students to learn the true meaning of paying it forward today.

We visited Wishbone Allegan Animal Shelter and Paws with a Cause and where able to present your kind donations. Along with an earlier check to Ronald McDonald house we shared $14,863 with our community. Lots of low cost spays and neuters for the shelter, assistance with service dog training at Paws and helping families with sick children at RMH.

Thank you for allowing us to make a difference!!!

Thanks to each and every customer this school year for your business. We have just a few more days to groom and our appointments are full. We will be reopening in September with a fresh group of student groomers.

Summer grooming certification students will be grooming on Mondays and Tuesdays starting the last week in June, if you have an animal that needs a breed specific cut (Poodles, Schnauzers, S**t Tzu's, Yorkies, Spaniels, Setters, Maltese, etc.) please call 269-512-7820 for an appointment. Summer grooming will be limited to breeds that are needed for practice (the more unusual the better), they will not be doing just baths on those days.

Have a wonderful summer and we will look forward to seeing all of our wonderful clients, both 2 legged and 4 in the fall.

So we are starting a new endeavor with our Community Pet Care Days! To make the day less stressful for your pets and a better learning opportunity for our students we will be starting our new 1st year Fridays this week.

ALL BATHS ON FRIDAYS WILL BE PERFORMED FOR HALF OF THE NORMAL PRICE (talk to us if you can't pay the reduced fee), we still will not be clipping animals on Fridays, but baths, nail trims and ear and teeth cleaning will be completed for the reduced price on Fridays.
This will allow our first year students to perform grooming services and learn under a less stressful situation, and less dogs in the lab will mean less stress for your animal while they are here.
We do plan to cap animals at about 12-14 each week, depending on breed and size, appointments will be necessary for planning purposed.

Our first Donation Day of the new school year. Looking forward to getting the first year students involved in the grooming process!!!

On Friday November 4th we will host our first Community Donation Day. Bathing only (nail trims, ear cleaning, and teeth brushing), no clips, no cats. Appointments required and can be reserved by calling 269-512-7820 (appointments available from 8:15 - 12:15). 2 dog limit per household.

As always all proceeds will go to Paws with a Cause and Wishbone Pet Rescue Alliance so please help our total donation grow.

Watch for upcoming news on our first Saturday Event as well.

What a great morning at CaFe Pet Spa!!!

Our partnership with Paws With a Cause has reached even higher today.

PAWS is searching for a new groomer and we agreed to help fill in the need, so this morning 5 great dogs in training were delivered and the students went right to work giving them the full Spa experience.

What a great way to help our community, and to help our students to expand their skills.

Well. The post so many are waiting for.
The time has come for CaFa Pet Spa to give our new work based learning students some real life grooming experience.

They will start taking calls on Tuesday September 13 for appointments that will start on September 19th. Our phone number is 269-512-7820, it will be answered while students are in class, our you can leave a message and they can call you back.

We will offer baths, drying, nail trims, ear cleaning and teeth brushing. They are working on clipping and scissor use so they will not be ready for full grooming until sometime in October.

We are a little short staffed this week so be patient with the students as they may still need some assistance.

We look forward to another exciting year of serving our customers both old and new.

Proud teacher moment!!! After 75 hours of instruction and practice this summer CaFe Pet Spa is proud to present our first group of students to receive their Grooming/Pet Stylists certificate!! Special thanks to Ashlee for giving them this opportunity and for having the vision to make it happen. Congratulations ladies! It has been my privilege to watch your skills grow all summer.

We are in need of dogs for grooming!!!! ( yes I know we are closed for the summer)
Our students are working to become certified groomers this summer. It is a great opportunity for them and you!

They need the following breeds to build their skills on: Westies, Maltese, Yorkies, Schnauzers, Poodles, Spaniels and Setters.

We are looking for dogs that have coats that have been kept up (ones that won’t require shave downs) and those with traditional or fun cuts.

Services will be free (donations would be accepted but not required), performed under the supervision of a professional groomer, and appointments will be Monday thru Wednesday mornings.

This is it!!!! We are ending our year in CaFe Pet Spa with a bang! Actually with one last Community Donation Day on Friday May 27 from 8:00-1:00 pm.

This will be our last day we are open this school year. Our Seniors are gone (or it will be there last day) and our first year students are eager to take over the reins for next year, so lets keep them busy this Friday.

2 dog limit per family, no clipping or trims can be done and dogs will have to be able to be around other dogs.

Due to a busy week in the classroom you will need to call 269-512-7820 for an appointment (will not be able to respond to messenger this time).
