Let's talk warmer days and walks! ☀️

With summer starting and it getting warmer earlier let's talk about the importance of timing for our dog walks this summer.

Walks should not be taken if it is over 75°

The cement and asphalt get hot quickly and our pups will gladly go with us and pay for it later if we are not careful.

80+° is too hot for your pups to go for a walk unless you are in the shade just hanging out not playing ball or having them run or work.

Also, our vehicles get hot fast! Within minutes of turning off our car even with windows down can be too hot for our pups, keep the air conditioner on or leave your pup at home in the cool.

Also if your pup is panting hard and catching their breath DO NOT give water at this time, let them catch their breath first or they are at risk for bloat which can be fatal.

Keep your pups safe and cool this summer!

I like to keep walks before 11am and after 7pm. 🐾

Let's talk dog training ✨

Dog training is a lot of work, time and dedication not only on my part but your part as well.

I am finding that people are coming to me for training with the thought that I will be the magic fix for their dog and I will do the work.

I train YOU to train your pup so your pup learns from you and trusts and respects you as a leader.

I can train your dog to listen to me but that does nothing for you if your dog doesn't respect and listen to you. That is why I do things the way I do them.

Training is not a quick fix it takes TIME. The biggest concern I hear from clients is that they don't have the time.

If you want a well behaved, mannered and confident dog you HAVE to put in the TIME daily!

This is vital! If you are not willing to put in the time I will not take you on as a client.

I am confident in my training abilities and program but it doesn't work if you don't put in the effort.

Your pup is a commitment and they deserve the daily dedication to help them be confident in their world.

Are you being intentional with your time with your pups?

Are you spending quality time with them daily?

Are you busy on your phone and trying to pet them too?

Are you rushing around without actually taking a few minutes to sit with your dog and give them pets and love?

Are you rushing them to go to the bathroom because you're in a hurry?

Are you spending time playing ball with them or are you getting frustrated because they're playing keep away?

Are you spending time checking their ears, paws, fur, teeth and tummy?

It's so easy for us to get caught up in our busy lives but I want to remind you how short our dogs are with us compared to our lifetime.

They spend all day waiting for us to get, we are the absolute best thing in their world.

They love us with an unconditional love that we don't even deserve.

Let us be intentional with our pups, let us spend intentional time with them daily.

Let us play with them, groom them, take them on adventures even if it's just a walk or trip to a park or dog friendly store or even a car ride to get fuel.

You'll never regret that extra time you put into your pups. 🐾✨♥️

Did you know your energy, attitude and tone affects your pup?

Our energy and how we talk to our pups also plays a big role in their confidence in you and themselves.

For example, when you leave the house if you are telling them how much they are going to miss you and how sorry you are for leaving they're going to feel anxious energy and feel as if you aren't confident leaving them.

Instead praise them for what a good dog they are, how brave they are and how you're so proud of them. Say it with confidence.

Help them to feel confident in every situation in what we say and how we say it plays a big role.

We want confident pups! ✨🐾

Are you setting aside time each day to spend quality, undivided time with your pup?

They spend hours in the house or yard just waiting for you to get home.

YOU are their favorite thing in the world and they want and deserve your undivided attention.

No phone just you spending time with them whether that be playing with their favorite toy, cuddles on the couch, training session, or simply just petting them and engaging with them.

That quality time with your pup is vital to your relationship as well as their behaviors.

A pup that is lacking attention will act out to get any sort of attention even negative just as a kid does.

Don't make the mistake of being so busy or so caught up on your phone that your pup is lacking what they need.

The best time to get in that quality time is before you go to work, as soon as you get home and before bed.

Those extra couple minutes you set aside for your pup will make a difference in your relationship and bond.

Have fun with your pup! Run around the house with your pup. Throw the ball, play tug, enjoy your time with your pup!

They deserve that quality time and so do you! ✨🐾

Did you know your energy and how you carry yourself plays a big part on your dog and their energy?

Progress Spotlight ✨

This handsome man has improved a ton on his walks since I started with him in the fall.

Meet Mr Sam, a full of energy goofball who loves puddles, trucks and very reactive (excitement) to other dogs.

I have worked with him on his leash manners and his reactivity by letting him know I've got his back and we can confidently walk by without reactions.

We still have our days and reactive moments that get the best of him but overall I have seen a ton of improvement and found a new joy in our time together.

I get to enjoy our walks together five days a week for an hour adventure and let's just say I haven't been pulled to the ground in quite some time 😉🥰🐾

Below you will find a list of services offered as well as prices.

**Dog Training

6 Week Training course
-We meet each week and work on the goals you have as well as basic manners, obedience, and some public access.
-You will have weekly "get to do's" with your pup/pack
$84 = $14 per session

4 Week Fear free training
-This is a confidence building course for your pup where we will add in exposure therapy with positivity as well as add things for them to do to build their confidence such as playing on a playground.
$56= $14 per session

3 Week Personalized Training Plan
- I meet with you and your pups/pack in home each week to work on your goals as well as basic manners, obedience and that overall bond between you and your pup/pack
$42= $14 per 40 minute sessions

Private session with me
-We will meet and go over the current problem areas or things you would like to work on with your pup and we will do a session where we go over play with your dog, the relationship with your dog etc. I will teach you how to teach and work with your pup.
$15 per session (approx 45 minutes)

*Will travel to surrounding areas for travel fee of $12

$12 per walk per one dog

$15 per walk per two + dogs

30 minute walks (aprox. 1.5 miles)

Instead of giving up, I am changing the way I do training.

I do not train your dog for you, I teach you to train your dog.

The problem with me doing the training myself is the dog learns to listen to me and has no respect for you because you aren't putting the time and commitment in with your pup.

If you want a well trained dog you have to put in the effort for your pup, you have to commit time to them daily to exercise, play and train them.

Before everything and anything have your pup look to you, before giving them food, walking, treats etc.

Have your pup look to you and learn that everything good comes from you!

Progress Spotlight ✨🐾

Miss Cocoa has learned her sit command very well!

Her foster home has been doing great with working with and instilling the sit command even when she gets pet! Go Linda and Roger! 🤩

We are working on solidifying the sit command by working on walking in a circle around her while she sits today I got a couple half circles each way!

Her check ins on walks are awesome!

We are still working on leash manners as her newfound confidence has turned to curiosity and is very interested and intrigued on walks.

She is learning day by day and I have seen her confidence come through!
