Show Committee | Entry Clerk

While the entry clerk isn't always a member of the show committee, they can be and they're a very important part of the show! The entry clerk is responsible for handling all entries submitted, which also includes answering questions about the show and collecting related fees, as well as providing the first point of contact for most people interested in the show.

They also typically handle printing the judge's books and catalogs, as well as managing check-in on the day of the show. Even after the show is done they are still reaching out to finalize any payments for folks that didn't make it to the show. Thank any entry clerk the next time you see one!

Did you know that cats can compete in agility just like dogs? Many CFA shows feature agility, where a handler takes a cat through an obstacle course by purrsuading it to follow a toy. No special training is needed -- some cats are just "naturals!" They fixate on the toy and follow it up and down stairs, through tunnels, over fences, and more! It's great fun to watch and even more fun to try!

Meet Fritz!

"This is Fritz. He’s a rescue who from what I was told came from California. He’s 6 and such a lovie. He has some anxiety but I am so happy he ended up choosing us. And he did choose us. He stood up and did a little dance and bum wiggle while pawing at the glass after I met him and put him down. How could I say no after that?!"

Show Committee | Show Secretary

The show secretary is one of those unsung heroes of the show committee, as it's very unlikely that you're going to ever be working with them during your time attending a show.

Some duties of the show secretary include submitting the show license application, file the show flyer, contacting judges about accommodations, transmitting the completed show paperwork to central office, and retaining the show's copy.

Meet Chili the Abyssinian!

"This is Chili 🌶️ he is a 4 year old ruddy Abyssinian and the biggest love bug bed hog I’ve ever met. He brings me presents all the time. Fuzzy mice. His favourite toys and crunchy leaves from his catio. He sleep under the blankets and hogs our bed. He bites toes yanks at my hair and snuggles with his head beside mine on the pillow. I would be lost without this little weirdo."
