Ava is still looking for the perfect forever home ❤️
Born 6/21/24. Docked/dewclaws. Deworming and vaccines up to date.
She’s a puppy that could do well in a variety of households. Ava is smart, wants to please, and pretty go with the flow.

8 weeks is always bittersweet 🙂
Yesterday we said “see you later” to Lotti (formerly Emma) and Loon (formerly Coco) and welcomed two new families to the Kintra family 💜
Happy 8 weeks to the Solstice Sisters!
I wasn’t quick enough to snap of them all sleeping, but it seemed fitting that they chose today to move to the big bed for their puppy piles 🥰
We ❤️ Revival Animal Health!
The Solstice Sisters went on a field trip this week to visit our friends at Revival - we started off with the cart, but it quickly just turned into a puppy parade through the warehouse and offices 🤣
A huge thank you to everyone there for loving on our girls!
Check them out for all of your pet’s needs! https://www.revivalanimal.com
Back to school activities are in full swing, which means I’m not at home with the puppies as much.
After long play breaks outside, they get to hang out inside in their weaning pen. To keep their brains busy, we love the all natural chews from Farm Hounds!
The puppies LOVE the natural Beef Hide Rolls and Beef Hide Chips. We love that we don’t have to worry about upset tummies or icky ingredients.

At this stage of puppy development, we try to introduce new experiences. Today was a unique one!
We got cattle today! The Solstice Sisters got to take in all sorts of new sights, scents, and sounds. They were unsure of the semi truck at first, but quickly realized it’s just a part of farm life and went back to playing and napping.
Pssh, forget all the toys. Just give us the water bottles!
Water bottles (label, lid, plastic ring removed) are always a hit with puppies! They can crunch and crinkle their little hearts out. Once the bottle is too far gone, it’s easy to recycle!
Puppy antics are my favorite ☺️

Sometimes, plans change!
The family that was planning on adding Ava to their home had some things come up and decided to wait for a future litter.
Ava has dark pigment and will have a harsh/dense coat as an adult. She’s a nice “middle of the road” dog - she isn’t bossy but also isn’t reserved. She loves to cuddle and stalk her sisters through the pen 🤣 Ava is a great problem solver and we will be doing an intro to birds soon.
Ava is 7 weeks old and would do well in almost any home as long as she can be with her people. She is UTD on vaccines/deworming, is microchipped and will be registered with AKC. She can be available to her new home starting August 16. Both parents are awesome hunting dogs and fully health tested (elbows, hips, thyroid, heart, eyes)
If you’re interested in this sweet girl, message us for more information or fill out a puppy application at www.kintragwp.com/litters.html
Big news from the West Coast today!
Ziggy went Winners/Best of Winners/Best of Opposite for a major at his first show!
Kintra’s Stir It Up at Scotia (TiMI x Journey)
Where there’s a will, there’s a way 🤣
The Solstice Sisters wanted to make a point and prove that at 7 weeks old they were NOT too big for the little bed
The Solstice Sisters have a few logistics to work out, but they’re willing to try the bigger bed 🤣

BIG day for the Solstice Sisters!
6 weeks and 5 days may be the breaking point for all five puppies to crowd on the baby bed!
They tried it and Daisy clearly decided bottom of the puppy pile was not longer working for her vibe. She branched out and napped on the big bed all by herself 🥹
Of course, right after I posted this, Daisy ran over and joined the rest of the Sisters in the little bed 🤦♀️ but it’s still progress!
It currently feels like 71* here, which is unheard of for Iowa in August! But the Solstice Sisters are loving every minute of it after the heat and humidity we’ve been having
6 weeks/3 days old
The Solstice Sisters are determined to fit on the little dog bed 🤣 although Daisy isnt sure she likes being at the bottom of the pile
I love being a special education teacher and I love getting to share my passion for dogs with school aged kids!
We had the chance to visit Rising Arrows, a local day camp last week. Many of the kids didn’t have experience with dogs or were a little nervous, but they all got to learn how to safely hold a puppy. Every single kid was super brave and pet the puppies! The puppies got to experience a lot of different kids at different ages.
All around, it was a win-win! Thank you so much to everyone at Rising Arrows!
The Solstice Sisters went for another drive this morning 🚙
They did great at their Puppy Wellness Checks! First round of vaccines, microchips, and plenty of snuggles to go around 😊
Once we got home, it was definitely nap time! Emma and Coco wanted a little more privacy and opted for naps in the crate
Coco and Daisy are going for the Gold in Synchronized Sleeping! 🥇
6 weeks for the Solstice Sisters!

Tongue out Thursday! 😛

These mornings are my favorite 🥰
Huge storms last night, but we were glad the weather cooperated for plenty of outside playtime!
All that fresh air tuckered the puppies out 😴 but a tired puppy is a good puppy 😉
Crate introduction for the Solstice Sisters
We love RuffLand crates for so many reasons - the ability to take the door completely off works *perfect* for puppies just learning.
With the heat and humidity today, the girls were ok with extra nap time inside 🙃

The rain stopped, so the Solstice Sisters enjoyed supper and some playtime outside this evening At 5 weeks old, they’re starting to really love and interact with toys ❤️ and learning that jumping and throwing a fit doesn’t get them attention, but sitting does
First car ride for the Solstice Sisters! We took an easy ride around the section (about 4 miles) and the girls were champs! A little whining, but they were mostly excited for supper when we returned home.
Bailing out of the weaning pen for breakfast! We like to keep the weaning pen right by a door - this way puppies learn some independence and don’t have to be carried outside. Plus, it allows us to thoroughly clean the pen while still keeping a close eye on the puppies.
Activity Box intro! Puppies at this stage are quickly developing mentally and physically - an activity box is a noisy, colorful, stimulating way for puppies to interact with their environment
Big day for the Solstice Sisters! They got their first exposure to the outdoors ☀️ We start puppies off in a small exercise pen - there are lots of new smells, sights, and textures to explore! So far, sniffing around in the grass has been their favorite activity
Post - breakfast playtime gets rowdier every morning 😂 But the Solstice Sisters joined the clean plate club this morning!
At this stage, we introduce a few toys/new items for the puppies for short periods throughout the day. Our goal is to stimulate their senses and encourage exploration. Today’s playtime picks were the big stuffy, a light up ball, a small stuffy that crinkles/squeaks, and a plastic tunnel.
