Show starts at 10 this is what we have for “pre-entry/estimates”

18” (5 riders) - 11:00
2’ (3 riders) - 12:00
2’3 (3 riders) - 12:45
2’6 (3 riders) - 1:30
2’9 (3 riders) - 2:15

These are all estimates!!!

2nd Update!!! - We are going to try for Saturday Feb 3rd! Fingers crossed we have decent weather that weekend! Same schedule as posted below.

Update…. CANCELED! Sorry everyone! It’s going to be a high of 30 and low of 7 with 3 additional days of freezing temperatures.

Hi Everyone! Happy New Year! For those interested in Knocking the Frost Off this Saturday we will have our Mock Show this Saturday the 13th!!

Show will start at 10 AM with pile of poles. We are going to have a campfire going outside if you want to warm up and have s’mores and heaters inside to hopefully stay warm!

First round will be $30 and $15 for each round after that. My goal is to have hunter, equitation and jumper courses to pick from.

Let me know if you’re coming and I’ll try to come up with estimate times for each level!

Estimated Times - these are very rough times so don’t assume and miss your ride height

1:00 - 2’6
We will continue to go up until all heights are satisfied:)!

Well I can officially say that I was able to hold my champion position and ended the 2023 year as the USEA Training Adult Rider! I can also say proudly that Lance ended behind two high power breeds ranked 3rd in the Training Horses! What an incredible year! I just can’t believe it and it’s such a gift from God and I’m so grateful to Him! I’m also grateful to my biggest supporters! My mom who rides every single step with me and my husband who holds the fort down at home! I also can’t thank my barn family enough for holding the fort down in the barn and supporting me when I tell them I’m running off to Florida to learn and grow with Lance. I was not able to attend the convention to receive my award because of an AMAZING clinic here at our barn to prepare for 2024! Cheers to 2023!

And that’s a wrap on the most awesome weekend with Karl Slezak Eventing and Katlyn Hewson-Slezak!!!! Thank you so much for the riders that stepped up and challenged themselves to ride this weekend! Everyone knocked it out of the park and to see the growth in these riders in one weekend was so impressive! I was too busy learning and staying warm but here are a few photos I did take! Anyone that got anymore feel free to add them in the comments!

Edit: Kenley is going to have her first volleyball tournament that weekend so if anyone is looking for 2’3-2’6 I have one spot in that height.

We are two weeks from our clinic with Karl Slezak! We have one spot in the 3’3-3’6 group Saturday and Sunday. If you would like to audit send me a text or a private message. We have options for just one day or the whole weekend. I personally ride with Karl during my time in Florida and it is unreal how much I learn each lesson! Even the times I just listen to his lessons are incredible!

Looks like the weather is going to be nice for December!

We have a JUDGE next Saturday for our lower level classes! Show will start at 8am with Pile of poles! Poles, Cross Rails, 18” and 2’ will be judged! 2’3 and above will be jumper classes as planned! I’m making a new schedule.

Trainer and Student Take Coconino Classic Three-Day Wins for the Second Year in a Row

We are having a fantastic time here at the Coconino Horse Trials! Last weekend River Falls cleaned up in the Junior Beginner Novice taking home 1st and 2nd with Jaeli Uselding on Weston and Stephenie Villines and Niall! Emilee Shaffer took home 3rd in the Novice Rider Division with a score of 30.0, only being away from first by .8! S

Lance and I sadly withdrew after showjumping. We put up a very nice dressage score of 29.8 and went double clear to move us up to 2nd. After SJ lance begin showing signs of colic that kept getting worse through out the day. By the evening he was better but not completely out of the woods. Sunday morning he was much more himself but I felt it wasn’t worth risking my four legged partner if he wasn’t a 100%

Our dearest teammate Marni Praters weekend did not end how we had hoped 😢 Gracie and Marni put up a lovely dressage test but during SJ took an unlucky step and left the ring unsound. Marni made the hardest but best decision for Gracie and drove home to Amarillo to get her seen ASAP. We pray and hope for a speedy recovery so we can see this awesome team out there competing!

Stay tuned for a very exciting week to come! We have the Coconino 3-day Classic beginning Wednesday with our first set of jogs! 🤩

ISO stall cleaner/someone to feed roughly two weekends a month and potentially Tuesday and Thursday in the evenings if they need the extra hours. Chores would consist of cleaning 4-6 stalls, dumping and filling water buckets, blowing two barns out and turning out or bringing in horses. Roughly 2-3 hours of work.
