How does it feel to be the Junior Barrel Race Australian Champion? Very special. It was a long and trying season just trying to make the finals but very rewarding to see the many miles and hard work payoff. It was my first and last Jnr finals, so just to be there extremely special. I made it my goal to take it all in and enjoy every minute because I was never competing in the Jrn's again, but walking away with the title that was definitely something I will cherish forever.

What motivates and drives you to be the best you can be?
I think who you surround yourself with is a huge indicator of the competitor you would like to be inside and out of the arena. Taking a little bit of advice and wisdom from lots of great role models to make your own path goes a long way in executing your goals. Although I came into the finals in the Jnr barrel race in 9th position, it was those words of wisdom and mentality that helped keep sight of my dream and motivated me to push through to the very end to finish what I started. I have been told that no matter what's happening around you, being intentional about what you do and grateful that you have the opportunity is key to success.

Who was your biggest mentor/supporter? I consider myself extremely lucky with the support system I have in my life. So much that has happened over the last season wouldn't be possible without the generosity and selflessness of many people close to me. First and foremost my parents. From the long miles across all over the country and never ending support , I don't think I would've been able to keep sight of my goals and completing Year 12 till the very end without them. I'd also like to thank the Kenny family for their support this past season, from the horses to mount out on in times of need, to words of encouragement, every bit was a step closer to the finish line and I can't express how grateful I am.

What was your biggest highlight of the year? Winning the All-Round Cowgirl at Tri-Series in VIC . It was a big trip to try to get the last points on the board for the season, so to have success in both the barrel race and the breakaway was pretty special.

What is your horses names and about them? Like I mentioned above I had the opportunity to ride some amazing horse of Shane and Leanne's which helped me get across the finish line, but my own horses Ruby and Sia are a big part of my success both before and at the finals. This title belongs to my mare Sia just as much as it does to me and in the short time we've gotten to know each other this season, she's already made so many dreams come true. She loves her job and has the kindest heart, I am so grateful to be her person and to have the opportunity to ride such an athlete. Being only 7, I am so excited to see what the future holds for us, this is only the beginning
