We had a few friends out today to go over the obstacles and I would say it was a success. Everyone seemed to enjoy the obstacles and have fun. We are getting ready to prep to have the first event at the square1 horse park next Fri, May 31st from 4 pm to sunset if you are interested in coming let us know we will be limiting it to only 15 people currently so please message us if you would like to join.

🧸Little teddy is the perfect little trail horse, he would do amazing in 4H, ranch or a fun trail horse for any child. He will go over any obsticle in his path, in the arena or on a trail. Teddy has had miles of riding with children, very respectful. Teddy is normally barefoot, he does currently have a set of shoes on as he was recently hiking some rocky trails.

We are making steady progress towards our first open practice. We are taking it step by step, and with each step, we are getting closer to achieving our finished obsticle course!! Recently, we added a new obstacle to our collection - a bridge that we built for our training course and to be used in preparation for the larger bridge in our main competition course.

The first obstacle is completed. We are now on to the 2nd .... we will reschedule the open clinic day because we simply overlooked the fact that it is Easter weekend. We will be announcing the new date shortly.
However, on another note, I'm thinking of doing an obstacle competition in May if I can get enough interest.

We will most likely run the event as the fastest times out of 3 runs. And will be a limited number of allowed entries. Also working on prizes or a prize money payout.

As well as if there's enough interest in opening up the facility to allow people to come to have an open practice day before the competition.

Meet Troppy,
Troppy is an OTTB I took on a few years ago. We have been struggling with her immunity issues and weight maintenance. Despite trying many different remedies, working with the vet, and keeping her healthy, she is still not 100%. However, it seems like we may have finally figured it out. After all these years of not being able to work with her, I am finally able to begin some training with her.

For our first work session, I am focused on gaining troppy's attention by using round penning. The goal is to get her to pay attention to me and turn into the round pen. Although it started a bit rough, we finished the session on a positive note.

We are currently working on a wooded trail obstacle course. If anyone has any thoughts or ideas of specific obstacles youd like to see/use, please reach out and share them with us!!

Our end goal is to build and create a destination to host open obstacle days, as well as host different obstacle competitions .

In addition to the wooded trail course, we are also creating 2 additional competition grade courses.

One will be set up in an open area to be an EXCA or Calgary Stampede style course that we can set up to run with several different layouts/levels of difficulty.

The other course will be a training course, set up with the not so esthetically pleasing but still very functional obstacles for training purposes.

We are doing our absolute best to keep safety in mind as well as creating several complex obstacles for all different skill levels that can be enjoyed by even our most advanced and skilled riders.

Below I have added a few screen shots from some ideas we have come up with, as well as a list of obstacles we have laid out and planning on building for the wooded trail course over the next few weeks.

****Make sure to follow our page for updates, as we finished each obstacle we will be offering a day for a certain number of people/riders to come and test them out prior to opening to the public.***

Tried at barrels and didn't make the cut, poor girl has NO speed and had no interest in just cantering.
Perfect walk trot horse for anyone wanting to learn to ride or who just enjoys slow relaxing trails. Clover goes over or through any obsticle you point her in. You can ride her in just a halter ( as seen in the videos)
Clovers had alot more Wahoo than go. She will canter off with lots of encouragement, this mare will NEVER TAKE OFF WITH YOU OR RUN AWAY WITH YOU.

Meet Mellow, he is a 15 yr old American Cream Draft that stands just under 15.1 hands. Mellow is just like his name says, he is Mellow and calm. Mellow is super sweet and absolutely loves attention. Mellow is more on the lazy side and would excel with an experienced child rider or beginner adult just because he is a little lazy and occasionally needs encouragement to get into a canter. He will walk and trot all day long. He is absolutely beautiful and is extremely stout and wide and SAFE. He has been hauled to just about everywhere. He is amazing on trails and is not spooky, he has been ridden in several different arenas and is a great steady horse. If your not familiar with the breed, please look it up. The American Cream Draft is on the critically endangered list and is the only native Draft horse to America. There are less than 400 alive today. We are located in Fort White FL and we do provide 4 free lessons with the new owners of Mellow to ensure we have a good rider/horse fit.

She is the sweetest babysitting mare you could ever have. She can half pass, side pass, pivot, roll backs, come get me trick etc. She is absolutely amazing without a single mean bone in her body. She absolutely LOVES children and attention. She neck reins, is barefoot, UTD on all vaccines and has never had any previous medical issues. Darla is a super easy keeper and travels/trailers like a champ 🥰 located in Fort White Florida. 💥💥💥💥❤️❤️❤️Meet steel, 7yr old 14 hand DAPPLE GREY gelding. He is by far the sweetest boy. Extremely personable with a baby like mentally, very curious loving and loyal. He absolutely loves people and will leave other horses in a heart beat when he hears his name called. Steel is a very genuine horse who cares for his riders. He enjoys being with us and craves attention. He has been out on trails, has had several different children ride him, has been around cows, out to rodeos, horses, dogs, cats, donkeys, veichles, tractors and 4wheelers. Nothing spooks little steel. He has a very natural elegant stride, he would do amazing in any show ring, controlled gates, he will not speed up on you or bolt. He will only go as fast as requested and is more on the whoa side. Steel knows the come get me trick so need to be moving mounting blocks, as well as side passing and pivoting under saddle and in hand. He would prefer to trot or canter at a slow trot speed. We would absolutely love to see him go to a young child and watch them grow together ❤️ as a team. Videos in comments, definitely watch them ❤️ when you get a horse form us, you do get 4 free lessons with the horse at our farm to make sure it is a great fit and any issues are addressed. We are hosting a 3 day clinic Friday April 28th through Sunday April 30th at Archer Farms

At this clinic we will go over everything from the basic fundamentals of horsemanship, to trick training, introducing obstacle and how to understand your horses body movements to get the best results in any type of situation. We will address bad behavior, how to fix it and how to prevent them from occurring. We will also be teaching some basic tricks and how to get your horses to pay attention to you and what you are asking. We have several more topics we will be going over.

Our goals for this clinic are to prepare participants for when your horse says no, regardless of the citation..... I feel like alot of people purchase or send horses to training but don't have understanding or the preparation to take care of the horses maintenance training or how to handle when there horse says no.... because the end of the day horses are not machines, horses are animals and will have days where they need help and guidance. My goal is to teach participants how to guide there horse through fears and tough times.

As of now our schedule will be
Friday April 28th, 10:30am to 7:30pm
Saturday April 29th, 8am to 5pm
Sunday April 30th 8am to 5pm

We will also be offering a seperate purposr of the laydown discussion and understanding demonstration....Saturday night April 29th from 6pm to 8pm. This will be a seperate class, 20$ per auditor.

Meet Jasper, a 8yr old, 14 hands with 2 blue eyes, Medicine hat Paint gelding. Jasper is a super sweet gelding and loves bonding with one person. He has been ridden by several differnt riding levels and would excell with an intermediate or experienced rider as he can be dull at time. He can half pass, pivot, sidepass, leg yield and much more. Jasper has tons of potential and is ready to start in any direction needed. Jasper was recently brought in for a tune up and has been with us ( Square 1 Horsemanship ) for the past 4 months and has done amazing. Jasper has more of a reactive personality if he sits for several weeks without being messed with. He does not mind other horses, cats, dogs or other farm animals. He is bottom of the totum pole in the feild and has massive potential to be a roping or barrel prospect. Jasper enjoys jobs and tasks, as he enjoys a challenges. Jasper would Excell in any junior rodeo or 4H shows. Located in fort white FL
