It was also Haiku’s first UKC weekend. He’s been here with us for a few weeks in preparation for this show & he didn’t disappoint. He picked up all needed wins, 80 points, & got absolutely lovely feedback from the judges! In one weekend he’s soooo close to finishing his Championship 💙

He’ll be headed back to his family in Virginia next weekend & I can’t wait to see what he continues to accomplish!

This was miss Benny’s very first UKC weekend & she showed off all her poodle sass! With just one conformation class under her belt, she took her first spins around the ring with her new bff, Auntie J. No female competition, but she did pick up a lot of points toward her championship & we got lots of tips on how to wrangle this firecracker into looking her best for her next show.

She couldn’t leave without a new title, so I ran her through her first UKC Container searches to easily earn her NC. Just like her first scentwork trial, this little girlie impressed the judge with a speedy 11 second search, earning 2nd place!

Introducing our newest UKC Champion 🩷

It was a long, HOT weekend in Longview, but Arwen & her guardian mom, Brie, worked beautifully together. They won Best Female 3 out of 4 shows & even one Best of Winners! Arwen’s sire, Aja, was my very first bred by champion, & it’s so exciting to see another of his kiddos do well in the show ring!

We didn’t waste any time getting rid of that hair. This team is excited to finish off some coursing titles, & hopefully try out scent work this fall!

Summer is challenging with my kiddos’ soccer training schedule, but we’ve been getting practice when we can & ran by our local trial this morning for one quick splash. Proud of this puppy for picking up a Q toward her very first NADD title!

We’re back home in Texas & trying to keep these poodles entertained in this heat. Here is Karma’s very first jump from the dock! We need lots of work to be trial ready, but I’m so happy with this 7 month old girl. These littles are definitely as capable as the standards!

Tillie is our keeper puppy from Ava x Simon and she is already settling in with her mama & the Whitmire family. This girlie has so much presence, and I’m so excited to see her do all the things!

I set big goals for Linkin in OKC. I knew it would be asking a lot at a huge venue, in the heat, and switching between multiple events. Couple that with him recently going through a fear period, and we definitely didn’t do our best work as a team the first two days. He ended the weekend picking up three new titles in barn hunt, scent work & FastCAT!
Huge thanks to our dog sport friends who kept encouraging us to stay positive 💙

It was a reunion for these littermates in OKC this weekend. This happy, SMART trio had the very best time at their first trial. The Summer Classic is the biggest show of the year with thousands of people & dogs, and these kids handled it like champs at just 6 months old.

Karma earned her Interior Novice title, & Benny earned 6 Q’s, qualifying in all elements. The judges just kept saying how impressive these puppies are 💙

After days of rain, we are enjoying every second of this beautiful sunshine ☀️. Today we introduced the puppy gym, with lots of moving, noisy objects. These kiddos especially loved the swing!
