We had lots of adventures this summer! The biggest of which was spending time in Kentucky with sweet Sully. Now if we can continue to dodge all the “Can we get a horse” questions then we will consider it a success! 😂
Rescue, love, repeat – join us in our mission to save lives.

Great place, great people 🙏
Does anyone else have a kitchen helper? This one is a thief! After eating a whole bowl of rice before tried to pretend he didn’t. But the evidence was clear… since it was still on his head. 😂
These babies just keep getting cuter!
Baby Raven is an absolute angel and has managed to steal all of our hearts. ❤️❤️❤️
There is a strong possibility that some training is needed around here. 🤦🏻♀️
On sunny days we sunbathe while the humans do farm chores. 😉
On our way to Oakland Presbyterian with some of our bunny friends for their Easter Event! 🐰
We love farm visitors! Had some fun with friends earlier last week and it reminded me of why we do what we do.
Sometimes you get bogged down with the day to day of caring for animals but once in a while when you see the smile on a sweet kiddos face as they snuggle a bunny it all falls into place. ❤️
After about 2 hours everyone had reached their limit! Nap time for the babies while the kiddos all played in the bounce house. 😂
Another day another petting zoo which means a 1 hour ride with screaming goats. ❤️
Sweet baby goats were the start of our farm adventure. Lilly, Hailey and Bailey joined the herd last year and although they were standoffish at first we’ve learned they are total cuddle bugs… if you can catch them. 🤪
Flower was our first baby born on the farm and boy was I a nervous wreck! We planned for everything but nature had it’s own plans. We came home from a family get together on Father’s Day and there he was just walking around after his mama like he had always been there! 🐐
Meet Chewie! He is our little love and one of our first rescues. Chewie has been with us for years now. Someone who my husband knew posted online that they needed to find a home for him and it was the best decision we ever made. He’s our handsome little man and a total cuddle bug. You can learn more about Chewie and the chaos on the farm in our upcoming children’s book series! Stay tuned for more.
Welcome to Save a Life Animal Rescue, a non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing animals in need. Our mission is to give surrendered and abandoned or neglected animals a second chance at life, where they can receive the love and care they deserve.
Our rescue farm is home to a variety of animals, including pigs, chickens, dogs, goats and one sassy African Watusi named, Diva. Each animal has a unique story and personality, and we are committed to providing them a happy home.
At our farm, we prioritize the well-being of our animals above all else. We provide them with spacious living quarters, and a nutritious diet. We also have skilled caregivers who monitor their health as well as access to a range of veterinary services for any medical needs that may occur.
One of our main goals is to educate the public about the plight of farm animals that can no longer be cared for and the importance of treating them with kindness and compassion. We offer educational programs for schools and community groups, where participants can learn about the lives of farm animals, how to care for them and the positive effects it has on mental health and wellbeing.
We believe that by working together, we can create a more compassionate world for both humans and animals.
If you are interested in supporting Save a Life Animal Rescue, there are many ways to get involved. You can donate to our cause, volunteer your time, or simply spread the word about our work. We thank you for your support and for joining us in our mission to save and protect our animals.
5:15AM- Theia our in home animal security system starts whining and pacing the house.
5:20AM- Finally listen to her and find Rex Bunny just hanging out in the breezeway not in his cage. 🤦🏻♀️
5:22AM- Rex Bunny safely secured… back to bed.
7:34AM- Phone rings. One look at who was calling and we knew an animal was out.
7:36AM- Go outside to find 7 baby goats being chased out of the neighbors yard.
7:38AM- Throwing hay to keep goats and Diva entertained while hubby fixes the fence.
8:00AM- Fence fixed, goats in… watch hubby get bulldozed by a grumpy pig and try not to laugh.
Have a farm they say, it will be fun they say. 🙄

What do you do when it’s dark and rainy all day? This Tiger says the only thing to do, so you can truly be you, is nap! 😴
When you tell your friend you are about to send them a video of the cutest baby ever and for a split second they thought it would be a human baby video and not a cow. 🤣🤣🤣
My beautiful Atlas has taken to sleeping on me. Which I love but also… 🙄. I think if he would just get under the covers rather than pinning them under his 70lbs body and leaving me to freeze we would be much better off.
We will open negotiations again tonight but I’m not very hopeful. 🤷🏻♀️
Yup.
Did you know that all 3 of our pups are rescues???
The monkey in the middle is Chewie and he will always be the “Baby Chew” even though he’s older than the chaos twins. He’s the smallest pup we’ve ever had so clearly he’s the baby. 😉
Atlas and Theia joined us just a year ago and to call them chaos twins is putting it mildly. We’ve been asked if we would take in more pups but these two have a lot of growing up to do before then.
Part of our newest fundraiser was to get Theia her own “Puppy Hotel” (Shhh… don’t tell her it’s a crate) They were fine with sharing and honestly preferred it when they first got here but Atlas decided he was ready for his sister to move out. We’ve explained that if they would just stop eating things (like the couch) they wouldn’t need to be locked up when we leave. He’s taken it in for consideration. 🤣
If you want to support our 503c with a donation this week that would be awesome!

Sometimes you just need a lazy afternoon and a stick to chew on. 😉 Meet BB our wonderful little monster that spends her days chasing her sisters around their hutch or playpen. (That’s when she isn’t chewing a hole in the corner of her bunny hutch)
Don’t forget to help support new cages for this sweet babe and her sisters by donating to our newest fundraiser. ❤️❤️❤️

We are so excited to share that our first ever fundraiser is LIVE! With the help of Go Fund Me we are raising funds for cages we need to house our newest arrivals as well as upgrade some crates we already have.
At Save a Life Animal Rescue we are always willing to take in new animals when we can but as you can imagine it gets costly!
We are starting small with this first fundraiser (you're welcome 😉) and our hope is to get funded quickly! If you can spare even as little as $5 it would help.
Pics of our little ones in their new "Hotels" coming soon!

Meet BB our escape artist. Yesterday I spent nearly an hour chasing her around our yard after she ate a hole in the corner of her bunny hutch. 🤦🏻♀️
She claims she just wanted to experience the great outdoors and her playpen was just too small for her liking. I explained that her playpen was plenty big and regular food and water should be higher up on her list of life’s necessities.
Stay tuned for a fundraiser to buy new bunny cages. 🤷🏻♀️

Sometimes you are left with a jealous moody cow when all you’re trying to do is record the new babies. 😂 #savealufeanimalrescue #watusi #floridafarm
Sometimes new baby goats make everything better! Meet our newest prince and princess (names still to be determined 😂) #cutegoats #nigeriandwarfgoats #babygoats #floridafarm #savealifeanimalrescue
These babies. 🤦🏻♀️ There is the tiniest bit of hay left and both Diva and Miss Piggy have decided they will be sleeping on it tonight. No matter how uncomfortable it might be! #savealifeanimalrescue #rescuepig #cowsofinstagram #watusi
So much cuteness and badness wrapped into one little fluffy baby goat! #savealifeanimalrescue #rescuefarm #goatsofinstagram #babygoats

Sometimes ducks have a mind of their own and if you aren’t part of the pack they ain’t gonna listen!! #savealifeanimalrescue #animalrescue #ducklife
The bunnies are here! Say hello to our newest babies. These little munchkins have been used in classrooms for years to teach kiddos about the care of animals.
In case you are curious what it sounds like to transport 2 goats in the back of your SUV… you’re welcome. 🤦🏻♀️ #savealifeanimalrescue #goats
Flower got some time in the big pasture this week! He was such a good boy! Until it was time to go back into his baby goat condominium. His mama went without a problem and he spent the better part of thirty minutes running from us and laughing. 🤦🏻♀️ #savealifeanimalrescue #rescuefarm #floridafarm #animalrescue #goatlife
It’s a good day when you are a duck and you get a new pool! We picked up a little one that will fit inside the coop until we build their enclosure. They are doing great with the chickens but they hated having such a small water tub. This one isn’t huge and they will still need to be taken out to swim daily but at least this will help with the heat! #savealifeanimalrescue #animalrescue #floridafarm #ducklife 🦆
After the storm passed it was time to pick up our next set of babies… ❤️❤️❤️. Dear Diary, Today we learned that baby goat math is just like chicken math. 1+1=3. 🤷🏻♀️ Our plan was to pick up two babies today but when the woman we purchased them from said “Interested in all 3?” My crazy ass said, of course! Lilly, Bailey and Hailey are now proud homeowners of our back porch. 2 weeks of quarantine for the babies on the breezeway that the other munchkins ruined would have worked great but with their mama in tow she needs to be able to wander around a fenced yard. Some people have dogs in their backyard, we have goats because Chewie insists he’s not a dog but a hoooman that gets to live inside and sleep in the people beds. In other news the 5 baby goats, 2 pigs and my drama Queen Diva are all concerned with the new arrivals. A chorus of chaos erupted from the pasture when Lilly tried to make a break for it while unloading. The good news is her children screamed like maniacs while we carried them around back and other then a run in with a fence she made it.Fingers crossed we reached our ultimate level of insanity already but knowing us… we aren’t even close. 🙄 So Angie Brooks when are we swaddling these micro maniacs for photos ?!?! 😂 #rescuefarm #savealifeanimalrescue #goats
Dear Diary, I thought we had reached the end of my updates because my sweet Diva has turned into the moo cow of my dreams. However some troublesome goats have taken the stage and are insistent my torture must continue. If you recall I moved the little heathens into the breezeway to keep them dry and safe from the storm. Today they decided they were ungrateful for my kind deed and busted through what remained of the screen then leaped to their freedom.I made the decision to allow them time out of the pasture while I drank my coffee only to find Margie in my garden box, and Petunia devouring my mums, and the other three in the barn. They were ushered back into their pasture of doom. Good news, they seem pleased, bad news my breezeway smelled like a zoo.I did however learn a lesson. Using a leaf blower on hay and goat poo while in a enclosed area results in a poo filled hurricane that leaves goat pellets in your hair.In other news, Diva was perfection today. She spent time in the pasture and only tried to tinkle on Chewie once. After a conversation with both of them we all made the decision that making mom wash a gallon of cow pee off the dog wasn’t a good idea.I thought we were past the drama until I looked out the window to find Luna trying to decapitate herself on the temporary fence that Diva now uses as a jump rope. She was freed without a problem but refused to thank me, instead she blamed me for building such an unsightly monstrosity in her pasture. I have since taken the fence down in hopes of her loving me again. This was the start to my morning…
It’s hay day around here! These babies all got super spoiled with fresh hay all winter and now demand snackies. Billy is one of our rescue babies! He came to us from the woman we also got Lily from when we bought the twins. She didn’t want to break up the trio so we took them all. A few weeks later she asked if we had room for Billy and of course I couldn’t say no. I mean look at how sweet he is!
