Careful judging people by their material things.

The people in the trailer house could have more in the bank than all the people in your subdivision combined.

The girl in the 15 year old bumper pull might unload one horse that could out run or out jump everything you unload out of that 100,000 dollar rig.

Some people don’t get their joy out of being flashy for other people, some people prefer to live modest lives and enjoy the simple things.

Dear Lowes, Targets, Kohls, Walmarts, ALDIs, Home Depot’s, Krogers, Jewels & all other stores that have self checkout….

You are heading towards almost exclusively self-checkouts now.

The lady/man checking receipts at the exit was stopping everyone.

I didn't choose to participate in that nonsense, I had already:

🛒filled my cart
🛒emptied my cart
🛒scanned the items
🛒refilled my cart

and so I just skipped the exit line and left.

I heard her saying "umm - Excuse me“ as I kept walking and raised the receipt above my head, leaving the store.

You can either trust me to do self-checkout, or you can put your cashiers back in place like it used to be.

• I'm not interested in proving that I did your job for you.

• If you want me to be a cashier with no training then that's your problem not mine.

• Keep employing young people and give them job opportunities.

YOU DON'T PAY ME TO SCAN MY OWN SHOPPING.

YOU DON’T GIVE ME STAFF DISCOUNTS FOR WORKING FOR YOU.

The connection the rider has through their arms, hands and reins, needs to flow to the horse’s mouth and through the horse’s body in what we call the “circle of the aids” or a “recycling” of energy.

When the rider has flat or “piano” hands, they have effectively turned off the flow of connection. To keep that energy flowing in a harmonious way through your forearms and into your seat and back (which is where you can most influence the horse) you must keep your fists softly closed with the thumb on top.

Think of a water pipe, with an on off valve. The valve is ON or OPEN when your fist is upright and elbows by your side. The valve is shut off or CLOSED when you ride with flat hands.

We want the horse’s energy to flow through us, so we must keep all the “pipes” open!!

Just a sorrel........

Nothing blows my mind more than people in the horse world saying "Just a plain sorrel" or In search of posts for people looking for their dream horse and stating "open to anything of color, just no sorrels".
Whats a sorrel?.....
A sorrel is a horse that has earned his place, not hiding behind or relying on his unique, flashy coat color to make him stand out in the world
A sorrel is more heart and try than I have ever seen in a horse.
A sorrel is a horse who's value is solely based on substance, ability and mind, not on cosmetics.
A sorrel is red, the color of power.
A sorrel has taught me more than any horse ever has.
A sorrel keeps me as honest as a horseman as he is as a horse.
A sorrel is a horse that should never be underestimated.
A sorrel is the one horse on the property you couldn't buy from me even if you caught me on my worst day.

Some of the greatest horses I have ever owned are just a sorrel 💙

***Boss Mare Alert***
If you’re looking for stout, pretty and sure footed on the trail then look no further. “Skittles” is 10yrs old, nearly 15h and as wide as she is tall, with a hip to die for. This mare has nothing but confidence and goes where ever you point her. She has way more whoa than go and with that prefers walking the trails then arena work. You’ve got to have a heck of a leg to make her trot circles, but on the trails she moves forward with ease. Back to the “boss mare” part....she’s absolutely the top of the heard in any situation, always. She ties, loads on the trailer, stands to be mounted, and guides easily though she isn’t completely neck reined yet. She’s been learning more advanced maneuvering with ease, she’s just never been taught anything more than trail riding. Her ground manners have come along nicely, I’m confident she walked all over her previous owners. That being said she’s suitable only for an intermediate to advanced previous horse owner. There is absolutely no rear or buck in this girl, she’s great down the trail and under saddle, just used to getting her way on the ground. Went straight to work after years off with about 5 minutes in the round pen. Only round penning now is to work on her body and giving her face for neck reining. She’s a solid quarter horse and would make a wonderful brood mare if looking to breed body and build. Sadly she sells as a grade mare as her papers were lost by previous owner. This mare is pretty as the day is long and looking for her forever trail riding home.

‘I want to just ride’ - Say this to any seasoned professional in the game and they will look at you like ‘Oh honey’ 😂

You have to learn to be a rider, groom, horseman/women, business owner, lead a team, handle clients and alongside all this you’ve still got to muck out and pick a broom up until you can earn enough money to have someone help you do this whilst you are doing something else to earn this said money.

‘I want to just ride’ doesn’t exist and if you see someone doing that you have no idea how hard they worked to get in that position. So get sweeping my friend ♥️
