For day two of Shark Days we have our Chain Catshark, Gloria! 🦈

You can find Gloria over in our shipwreck area in the same tank as our Wolf Eel, Tom. She loves to hide in the little cave during the day and come out to swim around during the night.

Pollinator Week is dedicated to raising awareness about the crucial role of pollinators in our ecosystems. From bees and butterflies to birds and bats, these creatures play a fundamental role in pollinating flowering plants and ensuring the production of various foods.

This post's pollinator dedication is to monarch butterflies whose population has been on the decline due to habitat loss, chemicals used, and other factors. 🦋

Did you know six out of seven sea turtle species are threatened or endangered? With every passing year, we become more dedicated and passionate about the conservation of these beautiful creatures!

You can also meet our Green Sea Turtles, Benson and Carr, who call SEA LIFE Michigan Aquarium their forever home after being victims of boat strikes making it unsafe for them to be returned into the wild.

Today is a day that encourages people to go outside and get some exercise just by taking care of their gardens! 🍅🥕🌱

Fun fact - Did you know that plants react to sound? Examined from a pea plant (Pisum Sativum), the roots were able to locate a water source by sensing the vibrations generated by water flowing below ground.
