The surgery team here is amazing. 43 spays today! 16 neuters also. There was also this pyometra (medical term for infection in uterus—see photo)oh and a front leg amputation. Way to go team!! Please spay and neuter!!! Pyometra can’t happen in a spayed cat! Congrats to a great team!

Please spay and neuter BEFORE the cat you’re feeding has kittens. While kittens may be cute, there are not enough good homes for all of them. PLEASE reach out B4 there is a litter of kittens to also spay and neuter!!

One of our awesome local rescues took care of this momma feral cat while she raised her beautiful kittens. Today was SPA(y) day for mom. Our awesome tech went above and beyond to be sure when the feral momma goes back to her colony she doesn’t have matted awful fur. Making life better for the animals is our goal. Her kittens are very adorable!

Spayed and neutered 54 today. Most of them feral. A couple had wounds that the team was able to treat and provide time released antibiotics (Convenia). The group sure pulls together and creates miracles for these unhoused cats. Way to go!
(Cat in picture is not feral however is suffering from a scratched cornea and the clinic helped her yesterday).

Long amazing story. We saved a life last week. A client had a cat with a suspected pyometra (that’s medical for bad infection in her uterus). Her full service veterinarian cost was $2500-3000 to perform the lifesaving surgery. The client could not raise the funds and her cat was very sick. One of the surgeons here agreed to spay her to remove the infection. It was an extremely tough surgery. Don’t look at the pictures unless you want to see the miracle. This cat arrived weighing 10 pounds and left weighing 6.5 pounds. The infection in her uterus weighed 3.5 pounds. ASN covered most of the cost of this surgery. In order to continue to do this we need help from all of you. May 2 is Big Day of Giving for our region. Donations open tomorrow. Please look at our fund raising site and give generously so we may continue to help the pets in our community.
