We operate in three centers across our area, and house up to 4,000 homeless and abandoned animals each year. The Placer SPCA Pet Adoption & Resource Center is located in Auburn, and is one of three adoption centers of the Placer SPCA, a nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing the lives of companion animals and supporting the human-animal bond.

On Saturday, November 2nd, Placer SPCA celebrated a significant milestone with the groundbreaking of our new Veterinary and Foster Care Center. A huge thank you to everyone who joined us and to our donors—every single one of you—who have generously given to
this special project. Your financial support has made the new Veterinary and Foster Care Center a reality. Your love and compassion for animals inspire us. Thank you to Bach to Rock Rocklin, CA for helping with the sound and to Randy Peters Catering & Event Center for providing a delicious breakfast.
We also want to give a huge shoutout to our volunteers and staff for their dedication in planning, setting up, and breaking down the event. Lastly, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to the entire community—without your unwavering support, this vision would
not be possible.

This 8,800-square-foot facility, located adjacent to the existing Adoption and Education Center at 200 Tahoe Ave. in Roseville, is scheduled to open in the fall of 2025. As demand for veterinary services continues to rise, Placer SPCA’s new Veterinary and Foster
Care Center will be vital in delivering high-quality care to animals and addressing community needs for years to come. This facility represents a transformative step forward in Placer SPCA’s mission to enhance the lives of companion animals and support the
human-animal bond. With more space and resources, Placer SPCA will be able to help more animals live healthier, happier lives.

In this role, you’ll manage all aspects of event planning and execution—from setting themes and budgets to securing sponsorships and coordinating volunteers. You’ll also oversee event tracking and assist with third-party fundraising requests. Weekend and evening event work may be required. Meet Ranger! Ranger has successfully settled into his Career Cat duties! His adopter says she is “outside quite a bit during the day and Ranger will follow me around and just hang out.” He's fully adjusted to being outside, he goes to his bed in the barn at night and during the day he roams the front yard and barn. Ranger has successfully ran off the mice in the barn, he is now a fierce hunter of lizards! This is a great success story! 💼😻

🐾 Meet Nyjah! 🐾 A 9-year-old shepherd mix!

Nyjah had an amazing time with our foster volunteers, and he won their hearts! This fun-loving, sweet boy enjoyed walks with other dogs, car rides (window down for nose adventures!), and belly rubs. 🐕💙 He’s got great indoor manners, loves fetch, and even gives soft kisses. Nyjah was an outdoor dog, so he's still adjusting to indoor life but relaxed after just one day!
