My grandmother used to say this was a Yiddish word meaning "from your lips to God's ears." Although this term has never been confirmed, it has come to mean something very special nonetheless. Mimi was full of life and her kitchen was full of butter and sugar. When she passed away in November 2015, it became evident that her legacy would live on through her children, grandchildren, holidays, family

meals, and recipes. In January 2016, Mamanu Baked Goods was created to honor my grandmother and share the lessons and recipes of all the matriarchs in my family -- of which there are many. Located in Auburn, Alabama, Mamanu Baked Goods makes brownies, cookies, rugelach, mandel bread, hamentashen, and other delicious baked desserts. Check this page as Mamanu continues to grow.
