🔴If you are filling out an application for one of our pups please know we do vet checks on EVERY applicant. If your current animals are not up to date on vaccines, not fixed, not on heartworm or flea prevention you are not eligible to adopt from AjK. We take the health and safety of animals seriously. Calling vets to confirm this information takes a great deal of time. If your current animal is not fixed, up to date on vaccines, on heartworm and flea prevention do not bother filling out an application, you are not eligible to adopt. Please help us use our time wisely to help pets verse calling vets only to be told you are not an option for our pups.

Update on the puppies found in the locked crate

I have contacted the Lake Travis Police Department been on the phone with the ACO and also contacted Austin Animal Abuse Sergeant. It has taken many many hours on the phone and lots of pushing to get the Lake Travis Police to start an investigation! They admitted today that an officer should have come out to the sight where the cage was located when the two woman called it in.

I have the cage in my possession and have taken measurements and video of it.

The Animal Abuse Sergeant has been amazing and I would like to thank him for his hard work.

This is getting out of hand another puppy found under a bridge in a crate with a hamster water bottle. People are getting desperate since the shelters are not taking intakes and they are dumping dogs everywhere. Thank you to the good Samaritan who called this in and got the puppy into rescue. I would also like to send a HUGE THANK YOU to Kelly Arthur who went above and beyond to save this puppy!

We hope you all are taking advantage of the great savings. If you are new to the group or just didn’t know, the rescue does have an Amazon wishlist where we list items that our fosters can use while caring for our rescue pups.
