Central Texas Veterinary Specialty & Emergency Hospital

Central Texas Veterinary Specialty & Emergency Hospital CTVSEH is here to provide you and you pet with a caring, expert staff that knows how important it is to have a team of vets you can trust.
(124)

For a combined total of 30 years, we have provided the best care for pets in Central Texas. Central Texas Veterinary Specialty Hospital (CTVSH) provides referral services in Surgery, Internal Medicine, Dermatology, Rehabilitation and Conditioning, Neurology and Ophthalmology. The veterinarians at CTVSH have all completed 4-5 year specialized training programs in their respective fields. Each depar

tment functions independently, yet interacts closely to provide the best overall care possible. An appointment with a CTVSH starts with a referral from your family veterinarian. This referral shows true concern for your pet. CTVSH works in cooperation with your veterinarian, forming a comprehensive health care team. Your veterinarian is proficient in all areas of veterinary medicine, while our doctors specialize in one area. Our diagnostics and treatments focus only on those problems which prompted the referral. CTVSH then provides your veterinarian with a complete report of your visit. All other primary health care will continue to be provided by your family veterinarian. Saturday hours are for discharges and emergencies only.

How can you NOT LOVE this FACE??? Ryder came to see us with a VERY upset tummy. Dr. Mikula and our emergency care team worked to diagnose and treat him for acute gastroenteritis. Gastroenteritis, also known as infectious diarrhea or stomach flu, is a common infectious disease that causes inflammation of the stomach and intestines. While diagnosing Ryder, we also found he had tachyarrhythmia (intermittently), an abnormal heart rhythm, and shared these details with his family so they can prepare for any issues or treatment needed early!
Best wishes on feeling better Ryder and we are here if you need us!!!

After 2 vials of antivenom, fluids, and pain meds, Odin was back on track and heading home. We are happy we could be there and recommend everyone to watch out for those RATTLERS!
