Roundworms are a common intestinal parasite that can affect both 🐶 and 🐱. These pesky worms live in the intestine and can cause symptoms like diarrhea, vomiting, weight loss, and a pot- bellied appearance, especially in puppies and kittens.

🐾Routine f***l testing, deworming as needed (monthly heartworm prevention provides deworming!), and cleaning pet living areas of f***s can help stop/prevent your pet contracting them.

Remember that roundworms can also infect humans 🤢, so maintaining good hygiene and regular vet visits are crucial.

August is Itchy Pet Awareness Month, a time dedicated to understanding and addressing the common causes of skin irritation in our furry friends. Early intervention is key! If you see any scratching, paw licking, or ear rubbing schedule an appointment to discuss effective ways to relieve their itchy.

Seamus dental

Even our clinic cats need dental care. During Seamus's annual exam, it was noted that he had a cavity. Last week, we performed a dental procedure on him and ended up extracting 6 teeth! 🤯Here we have Dr. Michael working on his mouth while his two dedicated technicians assist and monitor anesthesia. Seamus is doing great and is loving his wet food!

It's officially Pet Dental Health Month!

It may be getting cooler outside, but the ticks are still active. Don't forget to keep your pet updated on preventatives!

These roundworms were found in an adorable puppy stool sample 🤮 Many times you do not physically see the presence of parasites, which is why we recommend doing yearly stool sample checks. No worries, roundworms are treatable and this puppy will go on to be a crazy happy dog.

Our CVT Stacie is rolling out an ear cytology on a slide. We will look at this under the microscope to help determine the appropriate medications needed to help your pet.

Self rewarding treat toys are a great way to keep your pet active and entertained. Robbie was having a blast working those treats out (Moose waited for the treats to come out 🤣).

Solensia has been a game changer in the cat health world. We have helped MANY older cats get their groove back with a little help from this monthly injection. Our doctors and technicians are more than happy to discuss if this would be the right fit for your feline friend.
