Sharing a life with a reactive dog is hard!
You can’t go for walks, you can’t take them into the stores, you can’t let them roam around your yard free…
Sometimes it’s all about management. With proper management you can still live a good life!
I am so very grateful to be at the campground we are at. We have the space we need and can implement the safety measures we need. He never has to leave our site. He gets out of the car and goes directly into the screen room and has his play area out back.
Best move ever!

How do you feed your dogs? Providing our dogs out of the bowl experiences affords them the opportunity to use their brain, problem solve and search for their food.
Dogs in the wild aren’t given a bowl of food for their meal, they have to work for it! #canineenrichment #pawswithmek9enrichment #dogslife #mentalstimulationfordogs #dinnerbell
Activities that encourage problem solving! Animals living our care don’t necessarily get the opportunity to problem solve and have as many choices as those living in the wild. We choose their food, when they eat, how they eat, when it’s time for bed, what toys they play with… but we can provide activities throughout the day where they get agency and the opportunity to tap into some of their basic needs. #pawswithmek9enrichment #problemsolving #canineenrichment #doglife

From Cat Lady to Dog Lover
I'm excited to share with you a glimpse of the incredible journey of how I went from being a certified cat lady to a full-fledged dog lover! 🐾❤️
My journey began with a cute little boy who needed a little extra love and understanding. Dealing with a sensitive pup is challenging, but it opened my eyes to a world of empathy, patience, and unconditional love! 🐕✨
The journey and the bond I have built with Brutus inspired me to create something special. That's why I'm thrilled to share with you Paws With Me K9 Enrichment & Training! 🏡🐾
Witness our incredible journey of love, trust, and growth.

Foraging - to wander in search of forage or food ...Merriam Webster Dictionary
DITCH THE DISH!
Dogs are scavengers by nature, foraging for food is one of their innate needs. Us as the parents/caregivers, we do the "hunting" for them by getting their food and we feeding them in a bowl.
What? No searching, no chasing, no killing?
We can help fulfill this need by providing opportunities to chase/search for their food. You can scatter feed (throw food on the ground and let them search for it), you can make or buy dispensers (we have a ball that we put food in and they roll it around and the food falls out randomly) to feed them in, you can hide food around the house/yard. There are so many ways to feed them, other than a bowl.
Brutus never knows what to expect at dinner time (well, if momma is feeding them). Sometimes, I'll throw every...single...piece...of...food until it's gone while he runs from room to room chasing and searching for it!
