Correct exposure to experiences like this are important for puppies to have, so they can have good feelings towards things that might otherwise be scary.

Playtime with mom is super important for puppy development. Mothers teach many things that help with both doggie social skills and motor skills. Good social skills help puppies develop good relationships with other dogs and people as they grow.
