𝐓𝐨𝐧𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐈 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐟𝐞𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠.
I prepped and mixed everyone’s feed with their supplements in each separate bucket, color coded so I don’t forget.
I put everyone in their stalls. I made sure everyone’s pans were in place. I put everyone’s feed in the little wagon and walked it from pasture to pasture. Opening fences, shooing those away from the others feed, making sure everyone stayed to their own. I watched them run each other away, come back, over and over and over & eventually, they settled into harmony.
As I was watching them go about their system, I realized I wasn’t just slinging grain, there’s more to it than that.
To feed a horse isn’t just doing all these things once or twice a day.
𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐟𝐞𝐞𝐝 𝐚 𝐡𝐨𝐫𝐬𝐞 𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞 when you just go to see them and love on them and scratch their favorite spot. 𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐟𝐞𝐞𝐝 𝐚 𝐡𝐨𝐫𝐬𝐞 𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐬𝐭 when you talk to them and tell them everything you can’t tell anyone else, because you know they’ll listen.
𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐟𝐞𝐞𝐝 𝐚 𝐡𝐨𝐫𝐬𝐞 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰𝐥𝐞𝐝𝐠𝐞 when you’re working on that one little quirk and finally get it right, and when you give them that “yes!” and a good pat after, 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐟𝐞𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐦 𝐚 𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐫𝐞𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝.
𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐟𝐞𝐞𝐝 𝐚 𝐡𝐨𝐫𝐬𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 when you make them cross that ditch, or walk through that water.

Greta & Maybelline
We are offering these 2 extremely well minded fillies together as a pair. They have both been handled, are picking up feet and can be rubbed all over. They are still grasping the concept of leading, but it does not take either of these girls long at all to learn anything!
Maybelline (sorrel) is approximately 11 months old, very big b***d. She should mature to be 15hh. Greta (bay) is approximately 9 months old and will mature to be around 14.2hh.

I’m Gabby Logan, I’m a veterinary assistant, mom of 2 beautiful little girls and owner/trainer at Triple L Performance Horses! I specialize in c**t breaking and barrel/gaming training.
