While getting Revelator off the ground, I did some contracting work for a wonderful dog walking company. In Sept 2018, I added walking as a service to Revelator. October of that year, Dewey came on board. Dew was always happy to see me, as long as I didn't expect her to move too quick and had her cookie waiting when I left.
I'm happy to see all the dogs on my schedule, and Dew was no exception. Though, where most are waiting anxiously at the door, I would often have to wake Dewey up, give her time to stretch, figure out who I was and why I was waking her, then get a slow tail wag as she got up from her bed.
Last week, Dewey left us. She had been in pain for some time, though she was tough about it. It's strange not seeing her name every morning when I look at my book. Not seeing the copious drool when she knew it was time for her treat. But, Dewey doesn't hurt anymore. I'm just glad I got to be a part of her life. See you later, Dewey.
