We are currently live trapping cats at Bertz beer garden to either rehome if nice or fix and release. If you see a cat running around town with a tipped ear this cat is feral and fixed. This is all done on our dime so if you feel so inclined please drop off a donation we appreciate it !

Please do not bring us any cats that have tipped ears If you happen to catch one please 🙂

The Good Earth Farm Animal Sanctuary is hosting it's first annual Pet Show on Sunday, September 22 from 4-6 pm! The purpose of the event (besides having fun) is to raise money for the Farm Animal Sanctuary, with the eventual goal to be able to pay for the construction of another building, so we can house more animals.

Participants may show cats, dogs, fish, lizards, stuffed animals, imaginary animals, or pretty much anything that they can keep control of! They'll have up to 3 minutes to show off their pet to the judges. Participants are encouraged to be creative! Strut around like you're at Westminster! Read a poem, sing a song about your pet. Do a trick. Wear matching costumes! Rumor has it that one participant is even going to ride a stick pony/hobby horse!

There are two age groups: 6-13 and 14 and older. Best in show and runner-up will receive trophies, and everyone in attendance will get to vote on People's Choice Award. This event will take place during a The Good Earth Farm pizza night, so there will likely be a lot of people in attendance to watch!

VIP tables are available for a $500 donation tax-deductible donation to the Farm Sanctuary, and include a table for 6, Table service, pizzas, and beer and wine. 3 tables available.

For $1 each, guests at the Pet Show will be able to cast their votes for People's Choice. 100% of all proceeds go to the animal sanctuary.

She’s potty and crate trained and loves to play dress up 😉

She needs a foster or even an adopter.

🐾 Dr. Elise attended a wonderful conference this weekend with one of our rescue partners to further her knowledge🐾

Most of our leadership team attended the 2024 ASPCA Cornell Maddie’s Shelter Medicine Conference this weekend thanks to a wonderful couple grants!

We see so many different vetting cases and furthering our education in this can benefit the animals we see come through the rescue.

We are very grateful we had this opportunity 💕

Wow 😮 ALL KITTENS HAVE BEEN ADOPTED! We have one left who will be available starting next week as he is still healing from an eye infection 🙌🏼

🐱 We have kittens for adoption! They are fixed, received first vaccines, dewormed and have received flea / tick medication.

Indoor or outdoor cats we just kindly ask for a 40 dollar donation as an adoption for each so we can continue to fix the unwanted population 🫣

For those of who you remember Ms. Holly Dr. Elise’s former summer intern from a few summers ago. She is rocking Vet school in Illinois and we could not be prouder of her 😁

Holly Black is a 2026 student from from Rockton, Illinois, and plans to pursue pathology, public health, and research after graduation!

Over the summer, she got to learn at University of Minnesota Public Health Institute. Holly highlights her experience as, "networking with other students and professionals and developing public health skills in a variety of areas. I took 5 classes related to food safety, One Health, and data analysis. My favorite memories come from the class I took about fungi and their role in health and disease prevention for humans, animals, plants, and the environment. In this class I was able to study more in depth some of the fungi that impact animals like Aspergillus and Fusarium. My final project for that class was about Sea Turtle Egg Fusariosis - an emerging disease causing embryo mortality in turtle nests worldwide."

Seriously, they aren’t even done growing or learning and then they are expected to be a mom!

Prevent this by FIXING YOUR CAT. There are so many cats out there and they are being killed, either by nature or by humans, DAILY. You can prevent so much death and suffering just by fixing your cat.

This poor boy has still not gotten one single application 😩 no adoption fee fully vetted dog and we can’t get him adopted 😭 located currently in Beresford too ! Also looking for foster if not interested in adopting 🐶
