70 year olds still now how to play
Leo is so close to my heart. I have memories of this tortoise before you could have ever told me I’d own half the animals I have in the past five years. I’m so happy we were able to give this gal her forever home, I remember visiting her on Sunday afternoons as a child!

Look who we ran into at the Great Pocomoke Fair! The sweetest most talkative alpaca. ❤️
Yesterday marked EIGHTY DAYS of working with Eli EVERY SINGLE DAY.
When we first got Eli, he was super soft and an all around CHILL guy. As he matured the last two years he started showing signs of rut. He was in a slight rut this year after being gelded late in the season, so basic chores were difficult to even do, while feeling safe. After not being handled much during the winter he needed some work. So I started this little routine of just haltering, and added things in each week. We have learned S000 much on this journey, with the number one rule always being safety. I have had a few amazing mentors along the way. Nick Mielke, the late owner of Workhorse Farm, and the one that started my love for exotics, always told me straight, he didnt hold anything back. When i first brought Eli home he told me "that bull camel is going to kill you". He said I had a false sense of confidence with Cami, and I am forever grateful to have known him and for him to have instilled in my brain that bull camels can flip like a switch, especially in rut. Owning camels has been one of the greatest journeys of my life. We definitley could not have done it without Jason Martin, and Terri Lindley helping us along the way.
They taught us so much, not just in training, but husbandry, maintenance, contacts, and were there to share their knowlege when needed! I’ll never forget the days spent with you two training the camels. For the two weeks following Jason leaving us, we use his training techniques on the kids. Terri has one of the best hearts, and such compassion. I’ll never forget “its damn sure never”. This guy and I have grown the most in the past few years, and I’ll always hold a special place for him in my heart. I wish I wasn’t so technology dumb, I forgot to add Dr. Mikes photos, and this video already took me so long to make. Haha Ryder probably could have done it in double time. Dr. Mike is from Four State Veterinary. Finding adequate care for farm animals, and especially “exotics” is nearly impossible around here. Bayside Bovine
Sven is officially an outside goat at seven weeks old 😱 He is getting along great with Judy! I couldn’t help myself but to try to one handed feed them both because it was so cute…. I should have known better. 🙈😂
To say we have taken advantage of the open door policy to pets is an understatement. Thanks for the last four years Tractor Supply Co. and all the fun! While we wont be bringing in any of these fun big aninals anymore, there will he no shortage of goats tagging along on feed store trips. #lifeouthere #tractorsupply
Side note: even the song knows farmers start early, y’all should open earlier. 😂
Eli getting a good brush
I’m so glad to have some extra time with this big guy. We have been waiting for him to join his brother until we could get a trainer out, and a date that works for three parties haha. He is a very big animal, coming out of a (slight) rut, and we want everyone to be safe, and to set his new owner to up for success!
It’s official though, Jason will be heading out the first weekend in June to help move this guy, and make sure his new owner is trained, and he teaches her to be safe.
I had no idea he would be whom I will miss the most. He has been the biggest pain in my butt since the day Cody drove four hours to get him, blew his knee back out all for him to not even get on the trailer 🙈

We have both grown together and learned so much. I am excited for his next season. He is moving a short distance away, and his new mama is a vet. I know the camels are going to be in great hands.
While I miss all the animals dearly, it’s so nice to know they all have great homes, and hopefully I’ll be able to visit them all ❤️
Of course no one else can get any attention if Sven is around 🙄
Paislynn has been one of our "regulars" since the beginning. She was at our very first public event, and shortly after had us at her fourth birthday. She has grown with Elsa and Ana! Hey mom, maybe those two gals and their mama need to come live with yall. Dad already gave the okay. 😂More friends leaving the farm today. But tomorrow is the BIG day. After church we will be heading to hang with everyone for the day. ❤️
This is an old video.. but the only animals that are looking for homes are our potbelly pigs. There is no rehoming fee, but good homes are a must. Strawberry & Blueberry 8 year old castrated males
Bacon has been aged at 7. She could go alone or would do great with the boys.
Cheese & Eggs are only a year old and must go together. (I think I want to keep them, so would like to rehome the other three first)
Imagine quitting your job, but still having to work and it costs you money 😂🙈Shewwww, I know our farm isn’t the only one that has looked like this. Eveeyones pastures are wet, then they dry and it rains again. 🙈This was after the rain last week….Try to stay dry my friends.
Y’all Barbra heard me say Saturday is going to be a big day, I think she is fixin to take the weekend off. 😂❤️
Beulah is being the best mama. ❤️❤️ her twin lambs are doing great!!
These alpaca 😂 Really though, look at Dexter. He is so misunderstood. He’s just an amazing protector. Watching over while his friends raid my wagon
Shew our new horse Patches gave me a scare in record timing. We picked him up last Sunday and come Tuesday his eyes were leaking quite a bit, and he had a persistent cough. I expected him to have a cough because he does have a condition that would cause it, but it should only be occasional. I thought maybe just allergies because he had come from a different area. Fast forward to Monday, he had an extremely high fever, wouldn’t eat and had the vet out and he was really not doing well. His blood work came back today, he was dehydrated and his white blood cell levels were high, but nothing else alarming. Praise God! His fever is down, he is eating and drinking great. If only we can take this medicine a little better he has to be on twice a day for the next two weeks. Here is to hoping it’s on its way out and not going to effect his new friends. ❤️
This kid is trying to activate his goat jumps already on day three of life. 🙈😂
We will not keep any more baby goats. We will not keep anymore baby goats. Though if we do this guy shall be called Olaf! 😍 mama and baby are doing great, I’m not to good at determining if another is coming or it’s the placenta. I thinks she’s done. What a wonderful just this first time mama did. 😍
