A truly country pet boarding facility with room to run. Offering grooming, daycare and boarding. We are open and available daily from 8am to 8pm by appointment.

Pet Boarding and Daycare services in a climate-controlled building. Each dog kennel has an attached enclosed outdoor area so they have the freedom to be inside or outside. Plus each dog gets playtime in our fenced in yard every 4 hours during the day. All pets must be dropped off and/or picked up during this time. All pets must be current on all vaccines, including the kennel cough vaccine (receipts/print out from your vet will be required)

Galley (Grey and white male) - very handsome and quite male! Bigger frame pittie. Loves to run! Occasionally get the zoomies and might wanna wrestle 😆. Does fine with bigger dogs. Most of the time, he is laid back and does his own thing. Galley does great with humans of all sizes! He would do best in a house with no cats, no small dogs, no rabbits or other small animals. Galley is an escape artist so a fence is a must for this fellow! Definitely follows his nose!

🌞Good morning Grinning Goat 🐐 friends and family! 🚨Important announcements!🚨

A couple more days left of our shutdown but wanted to go ahead and post some policy updates that go into effect September 1st.

🚨🚨👀🌟Also, as of today, we are opening our grooming list to new clients!!! For how long? Hard to say! 🤷‍♀️ It's based on a number of things...breed and size of dogs, frequency of use, etc.🚨🚨

Most of our current customers won't have an issue with these. But with our ever evolving business and popularity of our services, the attached are changes needing to be made.

Other boarding facilities outside the Harrison County have raised their rates 2 or more times since we have opened our doors to the public.

However, our rates are not increasing at this time. We believe the nightly rate is still acceptable, but we are changing how we bill. Our nightly rate will get you a 24hr stay from when you drop-off. This is the biggest change.

As always, the exceptional service and love for your fur babies will never change 🥰

🚨 Patorns and friends of Grinning Goat Acres 🐐

Just a reminder that we are closed from the night of August 10th through the night of August 17th.

All daycare and boarded doggos, must be picked up by 12noon on the 10th, no exceptions.

We will reopen on the morning of the 18th for normal boarding operations and the 19th for normal grooming operations.

It has been a fantastic summer break! We hope everyone had a safe and exciting break. Thank you all for your continued support 😁

This is Gryff! 🐾🐶

At no fault of his own, this handsome boy is in need of a new fur-ever home.

Gryff is a very sweet, 3 year old shepherd mix. He is house, crate, and gate trained. He is good with cats and little kids. Gryff would do best in a home where he is an only dog.

Gryff is timid. He would need a patient home...someone willing to give Gryff time to adjust and come around.

Gryff has been a regular here a dozen times over the last 2 years. He is loyal, smart, and gentle 🥰

🚨🚨The summer season is upon us!!🚨🚨

PLEASE READ 🙂

A few things to remember when making reservations:

~ 1. Book early. We have already had full weekends, and it's only going to continue. Last-minute reservations are almost impossible to accommodate during the summer season.

~ 2. All fur babies must be up-to-date on Rabies, DA2PLP or like combo, and Kennel Cough vaccines. A copy of the vet record is required at the time of drop-off. While we try to ensure we have the most up-to-date record ahead of time, it is the pet owner's responsibility to ensure the pet is up-to-date.

~ 3. We treat our lawn for fleas and ticks. However, we live on a farm. We HIGHLY recommend a flea and tick prevention. If a pet is suspected to have fleas at drop-off, the pet will not be permitted to stay.

~ 4. An ill pet will not be allowed to board with us. Ongoing medical conditions that require regular medicine given will be approved for stay on a case to case basis.

~ 5. We are open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. All drop-offs and pick-ups must be scheduled ahead of time to ensure someone is available to meet you.

~ 6. The quickest way to reach us is to message us on Facebook. The message is received to 3 different phones, so someone is guaranteed to respond (as long as it is during work hours 😆).

~ 7. Our end-of-summer shutdown will be from August 11th through August 17th. So, all stays must be picked up by 12 noon on August 10th to ensure we are cleared, cleaned, and sanitized. Operations will resume on Sunday, August 18th at 8 a.m.

And lastly...

~ 8. Our daughter, Harley, is home from college for the summer. And like always, she will be helping during this busy season. A couple of days a week, she will be answering calls, doing drop-offs and pickups, and other duties while we focus on other activities around the farm 🐐🚜🐖🌞

Man can Sarge run!!! Look at him go!!! Something hits his nose, he is on it 😆. Surely someone needs this big goofy fellow on their farm and in their home!!! 🐕🐶🐾 Sarge was only with us during this last winter storm and has now returned to Harrison County Flora Shropshire Animal Shelter where he is available to be adopted!
