With the fall craziness is in full swing I forgot to share our most recent batch of birds. 500 new babies arrived a few weeks ago. I will update with more current pictures soon. For now, here are 2 day and 1 week pictures.

We are preparing for our next batch of birds to arrive later this week. The cover in the flight pen is now 6-12 foot tall. We will be mowing portions down soon so I snapped a quick picture before we clean up areas for the fall/winter birds.

To continue sharing more about Mishler Farms Game Birds we will share some about the family. This is Selah, she recently turned 2 and loves helping out with the birds. Here is a video of her helping dad move the birds to their flight pens a while back. Peep her excited clap as they begin to fly!

We would like to share more about Mishler Farms Game Birds. To start let's introduce Duke. Duke is our 4 year old chocolate lab who inspired our chukar raising journey. Although we started this to have quality birds for Duke we are happy to share them with you too!

This year we planted our original pen with a blend of grasses designed to provide heavy cover for our fall/winter birds when their time to transition to the flight pen comes. They will also be housed in a 15,000 square foot flight pen with a 12 foot ceiling. The grass is already over 4 foot tall in some areas.

The birds seem to be adjusting to the flight pen after their move. Our pens are 100x150ft with 12 foot ceilings. It is our goal to produce high quality birds that achieve great flight. Our spring/summer birds are in the new pen that we finished earlier this year!

First batch of birds for the year have arrived! They are the size of a golf ball but that won't last long!
