Happy International Black Cat Day! 🐈‍⬛

Here are some fun facts about black cats you may not have known!

1) Sailors and fishermen used to bring black cats on board as a token of good luck and would help with the rats too.

2)The most famous cats in popular culture are Thackery Binx in "Hocus Pocus", Salem in "Sabrina, the Teenage Witch, and the cartoon black cat Luna in "Sailor Moon."

3) In some of the earliest civilizations, notably Ancient Egypt, domestic cats were seen as divine beings, a token of good luck, and treated like royalty.

4)Black cats appear in many different cultures' folklore as good and bad omens. Welsh folklore thought black cats would bring good luck to their house and even accurately predict the weather. The earliest negative links to black cats date as far back as the 13th Century, starting with a document from the Catholic Church.
