Meet Dora, our soon to be 17 year old clinic cat. Dora has osteoarthritis (or OA). She was diagnosed after noticing her favorite sleeping spots were starting to change (she preferred lower beds to the high spots she used to favor). We elected to start her on solensia, which is a monoclonal antibody therapy administered monthly to control feline osteoarthritis (OA) pain. What a change we have seen! This video was taken after her 3rd month on the new medication. She's back to playing with her banana toy and jumping up on the counters! If this sounds like your cat, call us to schedule an appointment so we can discuss options. 😺

Dr. Mike and Dr. Brian will be out of town for a family wedding next week. The clinic will be open normal hours, with Dr. Laura seeing all patients. We unfortunately will not have after hours emergency services available from 10/22-10/29 when Dr. Mike and Dr. Brian return. If you would need after hours services we recommend contacting another clinic in town, or Red River Animal Emergency Hospital in Fargo (24 hour emergency clinic). We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, and will resume normal emergency call when they return.

This week we celebrate the backbone of our profession during national Veterinary Technician Week. We have been blessed at All Pets to have a group of kind, compassionate, and extremely hard working people in this roll. They are instrumental in patient care from that very first puppy/kitten exam, all the way through the hardest goodbyes. There are not enough words to tell them how much we appreciate everything they do for our furry family! Join us in celebrating Sonja, Audra and Rachel this week! You ladies are the best there is, and we are so thankful for each of you!

Tick season has officially arrived! We have had multiple clients who have found ticks on their pets and themselves over the weekend. With warmer temps here (hopefully for good!) it is very important to make sure your pets have their flea/tick/heartworm medications started. We are always trying to improve the ways in which you can communicate with us. Tomorrow we will be launching our new PetDesk app and reminder system. PetPro connect will no longer be functioning (they sold their service to a new provider and will be turning off the app).

On November 30th the clinic will be transitioning to a new system for messaging, reminders, refill requests etc! The new app and system is significantly more feature rich and robust than our current PetPro service, and should allow us to continue to grow our ability to communicate with you without the need for constant phone calls! The PetPro connect service date will end on Nov. 30th, and more details about PetDesk will be available soon. Some exciting features coming:
1. Text/Email/App reminders for appointments, surgeries, and overdue services.
2. Two way texting! You will be able to message us by texting our clinic landline from your cell phone. We can respond without the need for you to download the app.
3. Ability to request medication refills from the app, with the ability to expand for appointment requests and other services.
4. Appointment confirmation. Not only will you receive reminders via text/email/app you will be able to confirm you are coming or request to reschedule your appointment.
