Did you know you can check your household products to see if their makers have used animals for testing? You can make a conscience decision to stop using any products you may find. Rabbits suffer little pain in their eyes. And often overcome the worst of eye problems. This is one of many reasons rabbits are used for testing products; and how they may affect our bodies. Sadly it’s a offputting subject—but we wish to advocate change. Thank you for checking if you can. ❤️☀️🐰

It’s very hot in the Boise valley. Rabbits need to cool off. All our rabbits have cool pits dug for the summer. Seven free roam pens; each pit is a foot deep, covered with pallets, have a nice entrance ramp, and then covered with soil. The temperature is in the 60s on a 100-degree day. ❤️🌸🌞 by the way, rabbits typically drink four times the water that a dog twice their size would drink daily.

New adoption. Her name is Midnight. She is very soft, has jet black fur, super friendly and she sparkles in the sunlight. She’s lived her two years in a cage. Now, with us, she has a nice free roam pen with plenty of room to hop, buck, kick and sleep under the stars at night. She needed a home. She now has a forever home at the Happy Rabbit Sanctuary. Thanks for your support. We currently have 36 healthy and happy rabbits under our care. 🌸☀️🥰

When it's under 46 degrees Fahrenheit, rabbits cannot maintain their body temperature without food. Winter weather begins this evening. Please consider donating to the sanctuary this season to help with the food. We never run short. The rabbits always have fresh hay and pellets, warm lights, and dry ground during winter months. Welcome to the family, a cute little buck named, Ravioli! He’s now living outside in his free range pen, sweet talking the does through the chicken wire, enjoying the stars at night, and lying under the shade tree during the day. He kicks, jumps, bucks, and rolls happily in the soft, cool sand. He’s been brushed, he’s very handsome, he’s gentle, and he has a forever home at the Happy Rabbit Sanctuary. 🐰💕🐰💕🐰

Princess Livey; we adopted her. Started off as a special house rabbit. But she wanted to run outside with the does. So she's now spending her days lying around in the shade, and her nights under the stars. Please donate today. Princess demands more fresh hay. ❤️ it's gone from $12 a bale to $25 this year. Thanks.

This little doe suffered a spinal injury, and she lost movement in her hind legs. She enjoyed life at Happy Rabbit Sanctuary; being cleaned, loved, and carried to the fresh grass and eating rose petals in the warm sun. When she passed she was under the beautiful blue sky, surrounded by loved ones, and a caring on-call vet. The cost of a bale of hay has doubled this year and pellets have become very expensive as well. 50 # bags of pellets and 70 # bales of fresh grass hay are both about $25 each.
