Australian dog owners are being warned of a national shortage of a vaccine crucial in preventing the occurrence of a deadly bacterial disease. The disease, known as leptospirosis, is usually contracted in contaminated bodies of water or from the urine of infected animals - most commonly from rats. What began as a simple walk for a San Jose man and his dog, turned into a rush to the emergency vet.
