Meet Flophy! Estimated to be about 10 years old, she’s dreaming of a match with a soft bed to land on for her afternoon naps. Despite her expert napping capabilities, she’s still got quite a bit of pep in her step and is a great little walking buddy. She’s been a peaceful coexister with other dogs while in our care and could likely live with cats. Are you the match of her senior dog dreams?

Flophy’s adoption fee will be “pay-what-you-can” August 7-13 as part of the Holding Out For a Hero adopt-a-thon for dogs! What is a pay-what-you-can adopt-a-thon? It’s simple! You can donate as much as you want, but there is no expectation you donate at all. Any donations will be added to our Pay It Forward fund to use for additional promotions to help get dogs into homes in the future.

Mark your calendars, because this Monday (7/10) is the start of "Go Big AND Go Home" where we're waiving adoption fees for our amazing large adult dogs! The event runs all week through 7/16. That’s right folks, we’re doing it again. Please join us for this incredible opportunity to make a big difference in a dog's life.

Whether you've always dreamed of having a loyal companion who loves cuddles, or a playful buddy who's always up for adventure, our big dogs have it all! Remember, love knows no size limits. Come on down during our open hours (varies by location) and make a giant-sized impact on the life of a deserving dog.

Larger dogs like Zena are so deserving of loving homes, but we know that dogs her size often end up spending more time in shelters. So, we are breaking down barriers, making it easier than ever to bring dogs like her into your life, and freeing up critical space in our facilities so we can help as many dogs as possible around the country. Last time, we placed over 100 dogs… can we do it again?? 👀👀👀

Chex really truly thought she met her Forever at last Thursday’s adoption event, but the application never came in 💔 She got all dressed up in all of her Adopt Me gear and she thought for sure it would be her lucky day—but she still waits.

Chex is 25 pounds not quite a year old. She will fill out a tad, but she’s done growing. She is fostered south of Boston with adult humans and a resident dog and just an all around gem of a sweet dog.

Definitely the worst case of matting we seen in the last 10 years.Before getting a dog,please ensure you have the time,patience and money to take good care of them,research about the breed temperament and coat maintence..this poor guy did not deserve to be so neglected and abused for such a long time..this are 4 years of no bathing,brushing or any sort of grooming or vet care ,nothing is more satisfying to us than helping this angels to feel better,thankfully he has a new family that already loves and cares about him 💕
