One of the best crews I have ever had the pleasure of working with. News organizations were so focused on dredging up the past that they omitted the present and the future of racing. The present was a week of marvelous racing in the bluegrass, without any racing fatalities, and the future looks bright with smart regulation and cooperative tracks.

Dropkick Murphy once again held on for third just missing second place! This little guy has such a big heart, how can you not love him! Love you my little chicharo (that’s 🫛 in Spanish!) Very nice ride today Edgar Perez and congratulations to his owners and breeders! Tie Breaker clearly did not like the tapeta for the first time, had a real tough time handling the new terrain. He came back in good spirits which is most important. He’ll be back another day!

From last to first, Lady Cha Cha and Miguel Vasquez come charging for last, out wide on the turn for home and take it by a head in 1:34! What a stellar ride from Migue today! Never gave up and he never surrendered!! That’s how you do it! Congratulations to the connections at Golden Kernel Racing and a huge thank you to my team at the barn and to Cha Cha herself! Claimed for $50k, this girl came back to win in style! Congratulations to the breeders of Cha Cha at English Range Farm, without your decisions Cha Cha wouldn’t be here today, well thought out cross, I love the Vino babies! Very thankful to have her! Our girl came back in good shape and we will look to get her more distance in the next 4-5 weeks and give her a little more time to pack a few more pounds on! So our boys, Panther Island and Yes I am Free (Red) took their first trip to Keeneland to face off with some very nice horses in grade ll company. Although they didn’t get in the money, Red put in an amazing effort on a wet soft turf. Panther got a bit lost in translation there but came back to the barn full of fire and wanting to go do it again! lol Both boys came back in healthy condition and we look forward to what comes next. Proud of them, one race does not define a horse. Furthermore, I myself must say I really enjoyed Keeneland. Everyone I met was pleasant and the whole place was just gorgeous!! I'm very thankful to all those who helped me and made this experience possible. I can't wait to run there again. Although I was very nervous, it was an enjoyable time. I loved seeing all the people who attended, all dressed up looking dapper and beautiful. Great to see how much people really do enjoy coming out in support of our horses and our industry. 🥰 💪

St Pats Day came back to the barn in good shape, for those of you that are questioning. Vet scoped her she scoped clean as a whistle and sound as a bell. Just wasn’t her day today, it happens in horse racing. Thank you for the concerning messages, we love our horses and always put them first. It’s our responsibility to ensure they are healthy, happy and sound. She’ll be back when she’s ready!

That was a thrilling race and I couldn’t be more proud of them. Annointed ran a huge second in MSW company and first time tapeta off the $50k claim!!
