Volunteers with Sporting Breed Dogs Needed!

August 24th, at 11am, is the Annual Sportsmen Youth Day, in Grandy, MN. I usually do a working hunting dog demonstration, and would love to have some additional breeds come out if you are willing and able for the kiddos to meet and/or watch work.

We will likely do some demos of dogs working like: shed hunting, pointing a bird, retrieving bumpers (depending on what type of dogs want to come)

And have an area for education on breeds and for the kids to meet them and learn how they hunt differently etc.,

If you are interested, will you please PM me so we can get plans organized?

After the kid event they have an adult shoot and food and drinks and a band and karaoke?, and other celebration etc., it's a fun time! TY

$2,000.00: Everything you need to run a precision coursing course!
Selling my Swiftpaws Pro Alpha lure machine (sell for $2,750 new) and pulley set (sell for $79.99 for 2), I have at least 10 I believe and maybe 12+. I will look for all of them today and get an exact number. There should also be a line of string, and a rubber band in there too.

It’s that time of year again when people realize their dog is afraid of fireworks and then desperately try to manage the situation by asking everyone within a certain distance not participate in fireworks.
This is also my annual PSA telling you that your dog doesn’t have to be afraid of fireworks. Dogs that are already afraid can be rehabilitated and every time you get a new dog it’s your responsibility to ensure they get conditioned to them before the 4th or new years or whatever other celebration comes along.
Just like socializing your dog to people with hats or glasses, or to strollers, umbrellas, other loud sounds etc., it’s your own responsibility to ensure your dog is conditioned to all things they may face in life including fireworks.
If you need help with it, get in touch with a reputable gun dog trainer in your area! They will know exactly how to help get your dog get conditioned to fireworks so they can be stress free next year.
