***Oriundo VG has been sold to a new family and will no longer be standing publicly with them. We do have several doses of frozen semen still available from him if interested.***

Oriundo VG- aka “Oreo”- Imported PRE ANCCE registered and revised, IALHA registered smokey black Andalusian stallion with birdwatcher spots. He schools 4th level dressage with passage/piaffe and passes his solid, well balanced frame, athleticism, level headed, friendly temperament and solid work ethic making him easily trainable into his babies.

Oreo is available for both shipped semen and live cover in Brandon, Iowa!

His 2023 fees are:

$1200 for Andalusian and Andalusian cross mares (LFG)
$950 for any other crossbreds (QH, Arabian, draft etc) (LFG)
$500 single dose fresh or frozen (no LFG)

Offering fresh cooled semen, frozen, on site AI or live cover.

ALL foals are eligible for IALHA registration, reguardless of your mares registration status. Have a Percheron you’d love to produce a medieval warhorse with? Breed to Oreo and you’ll have a Spanish Norman! Looking for more fo a sport horse and have a TB you’d like to add bone and a quiet disposition to? Bred to Oreo and you’d be creating your very own Iberian warmblood! Arabian mare owners can produce their own fancy moving, level headed Hispo-Arabe when they make a date with Oreo. And of course we can’t forget the steadfast, fancy footed, ranch work horse by day and show horse by night the amazing Azteca! Cross your AQHA, APHA of ApHC mare with Oreo and create your very own dancing horse!

Oreo has produced many gorgeous colored babies already including both purebred Andalusians as well as crosses. He has passed his amazing disposition, movement, glorious hair and color onto. Many of his purebreds have been inspected and passed revision to become approved for the ANCCE stud books.

He has produced buckskin, grulla, smokey black, black, perlino, roan (when crosses on a roan mare) and pearl (when crossed with pearl mares) foals.

He stands 15.3h but has sired many taller foals when bred to similar sized mares.

His color genetics are: EE aa N/CR nd1/nd2

He is negative for pssm.

We went to visit Oreo at his training barn to reset his shoes this weekend. He’s loving the barn and being in work… plus being the only stallion there is how he likes it! He’s very happy and settled in quickly 🥰 I’m so excited to see what all he can do in the dressage ring!

Mr. Oreo has spent the last few weeks brushing up on his dressage skills with the talented Andria Pooley. He got to visit the Iowa Equestrian Center this weekend, not to compete, but just get some more exposure to the show environment. This will help ease the stress on him when she feels he is ready to enter his first dressage show, which will hopefully be soon! Keep an eye out for updates and some fun new pictures and video Andria’s team has captured.

Our Pookie popped early! This gorgeous filly by Oriundo VG and our foundation bred QH mare Pookie arrived about 2 weeks early this morning. Both are doing well.

Foal coats are tricky so not 100% sure on her coloring. With her small amount of white over her flanks she could be smokey blue roan or blue roan, though we will send in hair for testing to be sure. She will be registered with IALHA and available at weaning when she’s around 4 months old.

Born this morning!

3/4 Andalusian buckskin (50% chance of going grey) filly by our Oriundo VG and out of our Andalusian/AQHA IALHA registered Cantante LHS.

Both are doing well, the filly has lots of unfolding to do but is strong and nursing well.

“Church” as he has been dubbed by his new mom, got his first taste of the sun and a full day to stretch his legs today!

Beauty was a nervous wreck chasing him around and being an all out b #*ch to Amalie to make sure she didn’t look at him the wrong way 😂

They’ve all settled now though. Church loves the new room to run and Beauty has chilled enough to just throw mare glares and nips at Amalie if she gets too close to her precious boy. 🥰 they’ll be back to being bffs in no time! Amalie is a great companion for our new mamas.

Oreo headed to the trainers this week but will be back to cover some mares here in May, including Beauty, for hopefully another golden brother or sister to Church for next year!

Oreo’s first baby for us is a spicy little buckskin c**t! This is his second turn out time while I get the stalls cleaned up and he’s starting to figure out those long legs of his!

He is definitely going to grow into something special!
