It was a big day for the puppies today - they went to the vet and got their first round of shots and then we stopped at our property so they could run around and go swimming!!!

We had the privilege of doing a dog training demonstration this morning at Woodie Camp over at the Fergus Falls Wetland Learning Center! This is always a fun event for us - Jessica was a camper then a counselor and Casey was a counselor too before coming back as instructors. Our helpers this year were our nephew Elliot and his buddy Dylan, both former campers, and they've both been working for us this summer too! The lucky dogs that got to come with were Ella, Corky, Wiggles, Echo, Deja and Nene. We appreciate the invitation from Woodie Camp to come back and teach the next generation about dog training and share our passion for dogs!

We are 4 weeks old and super cute 🥰 We love our puppy mush and are getting better about using the weaning pen. We like people but mom is still our favorite right now! Playtime is a lot of fun but snuggles are good too 😊

We have the best helpers that make sure the puppies are getting the best care! They help us weigh puppies, clean the box, make sure Freedom always has everything she needs, help with nail trimmings and give lots of love 💕

New Master Hunters!!!

We spent last weekend at the North Dakota Retriever Club hunt test and both Molly and Croc earned their Master Hunter titles!! We could not be more proud of how these two have performed over the last month. Molly went 5 straight and Croc went 6 for 7 to earn their titles over the month. They worked hard and deserved every ribbon they brought home. Congratulations to them and their owners! Thanks to the club and the judges for some great tests!

On this Independence Day, Freedom is excited to introduce you to her new puppies!!

She had 11 puppies on July 2nd - 4 males and 7 females. Unfortunately one of the boys didn't make it but everyone else is doing great! Freedom has been a fantastic mom and is doing a good job feeding and cleaning her puppies. She definitely loves them 💕

The boys are - Blue, Black and Camo
The girls are - Red, Pink, Vikings (purple/yellow), Purple, Rainbow, Green, Brown (with pink)

It's a marathon not a sprint. Letting dogs mature at their own pace is the only way to get the results you want. Patience is hard in this game but the end result is so worth it! 🏆

Everyone always speculates in discussions about how long or how old a dog should be to certsin levels depending on the dog. So I asked UKC for the information and thought I would share. I was surprised by some more than others. Looking at the AKC info on Retriever Results web page shows I believe most of the corresponding levels to a little later age on average.

We just got back from a much needed vacation to the big island of Hawaii. From what we can remember, this is the first trip we have taken together, without dogs, since we visited Hawaii back in 2011!! We had a great trip relaxing, taking in the sights and spending time with Casey's sister and BIL.

We want to thank Jessica's parents for watching the dogs while we were gone. We couldn't have made this happen without them! We also want to thank Eden and Nick for hosting us and showing us around. We had a wonderful time and couldn't have asked for a better trip!

The training dogs have started coming back and we're ready to get the summer season started and maybe have some puppies too 🐶😊
